SPORTS AND LIFESTYLE

S
port is one of the most exciting activities that everyone can practice, but apart from being
exciting, it is also healthy and can contribute to a better lifestyle. The good part is that you
don’t have to be the best athlete to enjoy the rewards of practicing a sport.
From a doctor’s point of view, practicing a sport make your muscles stronger, which
contributes to not only an overall healthier life but also helps overcome everyday challenges
like lifting a heavy object or running to your job because you’re late to work. It also helps
keep weight under control, lowers the cholesterol and so it reduces the risk of heart attacks
and strokes. Your immunity also gets stronger, making you “indestructible” to colds and flu.
Another benefit of sport is that it makes you feel happy. Competitiveness is what
makes you live the game, and if you win it, you will get more confident and appreciated.
Because most sports are played in teams, it helps you integrate better in society. You socialize
with people that share the same passion as you, making you comfortable psychologically.
This is why sports are used by renowned doctors to treat diseases like depression.
In conclusion, sport should not be just a hobby in our everyday life, it should be a
lifestyle, because it makes your life a lot better, which is the biggest reward that you can ever
get.
