1 Introduction
REDDOT OL100 Low Intensity Single Obstruction Light is designed based on LED technology.
Complying with ICAO low intensity type A & B and FAA L-810, OL100 can be used for tall
structures less than 45m, such as airport, telecommunication tower, building, etc.

2 Wiring & Operation

2.1 Wiring
OL100 single comes with 25cm 3-core*1.5sqmm or 6-core*1.5sqmm prewired cable which is
easier for cable connection without opening lamp head. Prewired cable type depends on
client’s ordering code.
2.1.1 Wiring without alarm cable
If client doesn’t need dry alarm contacts to connect additional alarm device,
prewired cable is 3-core*1.5sqmm, suggest using 3-core AWG16(Min.) power
cable, connect prewires to user’s power supply according to cable sticker on
prewired cable.
 Connect Brown wire(BRN) to AC Line or DC+
 Connect Blue wire(BLU) to AC Neutral or DC-
 Connect Yellow wire(YLW) to Grounding

2.1.2 Wiring with alarm cable

If client needs dry alarm contacts to connect additional alarm device, prewired
cable is 6-core*1sqmm, suggest using 6-core AWG16(Min.) shielded cable,
connect prewires to power supply and user’s monitoring device.
 Connect RED wire(RED) to AC Line or DC+
 Connect BLACK wire(BLK) to AC Neutral or DC-
 Connect Yellow wire(YLW) to Grounding
 Connect Grey wire(COM) and Blue wire(NC) if user’s alarm device
responds to open contacts, make sure when wired COM and NC
contacts to user’s alarm device open if alarm.
 Connect Grey wire(COM) and Blue wire(NO) if user’s alarm device
responds to closed contacts, make sure when wired COM and NO
contacts to user’s alarm device close if alarm.

2.2 Configuration
Before shipping to clients, the light has been preconfigured for clients’ application. It
can be also on-site adjustable refer to the below steps.
2.2.1 Open OL100 single lamp head
 Use Allen Wrench to remove the three locking screws set (SS304
M6x30Hex locking screw, flat washer and spring washer)
 Slightly open the upper lamp head, control board shown as Figure5.
Ensure all internal wires are connected well.

2.2.2 Configuration
Adjust the functional switches on control board (Figure 5) to your desired setting
according to Figure 5 and Table 1.

3 Installation
OL100 provides a ¾ threaded bottom hub on bottom of aluminum base for mounting. With
different types of brackets OL100 is suitable to fix to any structures.
NOTE: ENSURE BOTTOM ¾ HUB IS WELL SEALED FOR WATERPROOF AFTER
WIRING JOB IS DONE.

6 Warranty
REDDOT products are warranted to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and
workmanship starting from the date of delivery. The actual warranty period of the product
depends on the product category.
6.1 Limitation of Liability

The provisions of the warranty are in lieu of any other warranty, whether expressed or
implied, written or oral. REDDOT's liability arising out of the manufacture, sale, or
supplying of the product and its use, whether based on warranty, contract, negligence,
product liability, or otherwise, shall not exceed the original cost of the product. In no
event shall REDDOT be liable for unintended or consequential damages, including,
but not limited to, a loss of profits or use damages arising out of the manufacture, sale,
or supplying of the product.
Before returning a REDDOT product, please provide information like model, quantity,
your region, and product photo or situation statement of the product in order to get
quicker service. Please contact info@reddotsignal.com, or contact with individual
sales person.

6.3 Warranty Note

 Please make sure connect the product according to the wiring diagram on the
category.
 For products containing rechargeable battery, REDDOT normally give 2 years’
warranty on the battery unless there is specific stating on the product’s
category.
 For products containing solar panel & rechargeable battery, the battery’s
power may reduce to insufficient level during storage and transit. In this case,
please first put the product under sunlight at daytime for several days for
battery charging purpose.
 Product warranties remain valid provided the product was properly installed
and used. Defects, malfunctions, or failures of the warranted product caused
by damage resulting from acts of God (such as floods, fire, etc.),
environmental and atmospheric disturbances, other external forces such as
power line disturbances, host computer malfunction, plugging the board in
under power, or incorrect cabling, and damage caused by misuse, abuse, and
unauthorized alteration or repair, are not warranted.
 For large order projects, customers may purchase an extended maintenance
contract. Some parts may have a limited warranty from the original supplier of
the parts. Please contact REDDOT's sales department if you would like to
extend the maintenance period of a REDDOT product.
