A. ELICIT The Philippine Archipelago
*How many islands compose the Philippines? -7 107
*What is its total area in square kilometers? -300 000
*How about its total coastline? -36 289
B. ENGAGE The teacher will ask the learners’ motive question: What is latitude? how about
longitude? An introduction of the lesson followed by the reading of the objectives.
C. EXPLORE The teacher will show a video clip that defines the latitude and longitude of the earth.

D. EXPLAIN The students will answer the questions provided.

E. ELABORATE The teacher will further discuss the following terms using the globe:
Latitude, longitude, prime meridian, international dateline, equator north pole and
south pole.
