CHECK-LIST FOR A VISITOR’S VISA

01 Duly completed and signed Visa Application Form (DHA-84) Form 11

02 A recent photograph
03 Original passport with at least six months validity and have at least two unused visa pages
04 Visa Fee Rs 3,700.00 (non-refundable)
Proof of sufficient financial means
05 (a) a three months bank statement (original signed and stamped)
(b) cash available to the applicant
06 Proof of a valid return or onward ticket or purchase of ticket
Documentation outlining the purpose and duration of the visit, or a written invitation by the host(s) in

the Republic, as the case may be
Where the applicant is attending an activity or event, a letter from the organization under whose
control the activity or event is taking place, confirming such attendance and whether or not the

foreigner will be remunerated, and if remunerated, the amount of the remuneration, including a letter
from employer or from an organization to which the applicant is associated to.
09 Certified copy of Birth Certificate of child(ren) below 18 years
In respect of a dependent child accompanying the applicant or joining the applicant in RSA:
(a) proof of consent from one or both parents, in the form of a letter or affidavit
(b) a letter from the person who is to receive the child in the Republic containing his or her
10 residential address in the Republic where the child will be residing
(c) a copy of the identity document or valid passport and visa or permanent residence permit of
the person who is to receive the child in the Republic; and
(d) the contact details of the parents or legal guardian.
11 A Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate (where applicable)
If invited by a host in RSA:
(a) a letter from the host confirming purpose, duration and removal of the applicant
12 (b) proof of accommodation
(c) if responsible for expenses, three months bank statement certified by the bank
(d) Certified copies of ID or passport and visa (whichever applicable)

15 Certified copy of Marriage Certificate (where applicable)
16 Proof of accommodation in South Africa
17 Proof of employment or business including registration & bank statement (where applicable)
18 Certified copy of PR Certificate of host (where host is a PR holder or a naturalized SA Citizen)
19 Proof of relationship if the host is a close family member

Notes:
— All documents in a foreign language must be translated into English by a sworn translator.
— Please submit only certified copies of original documents.
— The Mission may further request additional documents / information where and when necessary.
