A Detailed Lesson Plan in English II

I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, pupils are expected to:
a. understand the concept about action verbs;
b. identify the action verbs being used in a sentence and being showed in flash
cards.
c. create sentences using action verbs.

- A verb is a word that describes an
action.
EXAMPLES:
(The teacher will flash pictures that
shows an action)

1. A girl who is crying.


2. Children that are drinking.
3. A boy who is reading.
4. A boy kicking a ball.
5. Young girls playing hula hoop.

D. Enrichment Activity
(The class will be having an activity,
entitled “Pass it on”. As the song is going
on, the pupils will pass the ball; then
when it stops the pupil handling the ball
will recite two Action Words)

E. EVALUATION

A. Directions: Encircle the action words


being used in the sentence.

1. The boy is playing a ball.


2. Marian is eating banana.
3. The children are walking.
4. My mother is singing.
5. She is crying.
6. The dog is barking.
7. She picked flowers in the garden.
8. Theo throw his garbage in the
trashcan.
9. They danced gracefully.

B. Directions: Match the action words with their corresponding images.

IV. ASSIGNMENT
Directions: Make at least 5 simple sentence using action verbs.
