The sequence in which the thesis material should be arranged and bound should be as follows:

Inside cover page
Dedication page (Optional)
Declaration
Acknowledgements
Thesis certificate (Supervisor)
Thesis certificate (HOD)
plagiarism report (less than 20%)
Abstract (The 500 words abstract shall highlight the important features of the project report)
List of Tables
List of Figures
List of Symbols, Abbreviations or Nomenclature
Table of Contents
Chapters [Introduction, Review of Literature, Methodology, Result and Discussions, Summary and
Conclusions]
Appendices
References [IEEE FORMAT]
Papers published based on Thesis IF ANY

PAGE DIMENSIONS AND MARGIN

The final thesis should have the following page margins:
1. Top edge: 1 inch (25 mm)
2. Left side 1 ½ inch (38 mm)
3. Bottom edge: 1 inch (25 mm)
4. Right side: 1 inch (25 mm)

TYPE-SETTING, TEXT PROCESSING

 The standard font shall be Times New Roman of 12 pts with 1.5 line spacing
 The text must be 1.5 lines spaced and printed on only one side of each page.
Binding and Printing Guidelines
1. The thesis should be printed on one side of the page.
2. High quality paper (eg. Executive Bond Paper) of A4 size only should be used for the printing of
thesis.
3. The contents of the cover page (first page) and Hard Cover should be same. (*Font may be
adjusted on the hard cover depending on the requirements)
4. The binding of the thesis should be hard with MAROON (background) and Gold (text).
5. The number of pages should be limited to 100 ± 20.
6. Spine of the bound thesis should contain the year of graduation on top, last names of all the
students in centre and B.E. in the bottom in the following manner.
7. The minimum number of copies required for the submission of your thesis = Number of
Supervisors +Number of Students+1.
Formatting of thesis requires the following guidelines.

Page Numbers: Thesis will have two sets of page numbers; one set for the front matter and one set
for the rest of document. Pages of front matter are numbered in small Roman Numerals (i.e, ii, iii,
iv). On the title page (first physical page of the thesis) the number is not required, and the page is not
counted in the pagination. Pages in the body (all chapters and references) of the text should be
numbered in Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3). The first page of the first chapter is considered to be the first
page of the thesis body. The page numbers must be centrally justified at the bottom side.
