EULOGY
First I would like to thank all of you for your support. It means so
much to us all. Nikolai is my father but he’s more than a father to
us. When I was little Dad would sometimes take me along on one of
his work trips. You’d think eight hours stuck in a car with child
would be torture, but some of my happiest memories are from those
days. He’d entertain me with nothing more than a bit of scrap paper
and a pencil. We’d play word games, he would tell me tales, and
tease me with riddles. I am honoured to have spent my entire life
having Nikolai as my father.
Everything I went through you were standing there by my side.
Every problem I had you were there. Every time that I feel bad you
always have tricks up your sleeves to cheer me up. He teaches us to
be good to others, for them to be good to us. There's a saying he
always tells us,
“You carve your name on hearts, not tombstones. A legacy is etched
into the minds of others and the stories they share about you.”
So let the light guide your way hold every memory. As you go take
care and every road you take will always lead you home.
