Pattern for DROPS 106-18

Tube sock: Cast on 72-80-88 sts on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm [US 1] with Fabel. K
2 rounds and continue in rib K2 /P2. Work 3” rib. Now work 1 round rib shifting the rib 1 st to
the left as follows: on K2/P2 work P1/K2/P1. Now continue as follows: *Work 4 rounds with K
over K and P over P, then shift the rib 1 st to left again, as described above*, repeat from *-*

until piece measures 11”-12½”-14.25”. Insert a marking thread or stitch marker each side,
between 2 K sts = 36-40-44 sts between marking threads or stitch markers. Continue in rib
K2/P2 without shifting rib to the left. At the same time dec for toes each side as follows –
begin 2 sts before marking thread or stitch marker: K2 tog, marking thread or stitch marker,
slip 1 sts as if to knit, K1, psso. Dec like this each side on every round a total of 14-16-18
times = 16 sts left on round. On next round K all sts tog 2 by 2. Cut yarn and pull through
remaining 8 sts twice, pull tog and fasten ends. Sock measures approx 12½”-14½”-16½”.
