I am currently writing this to apply for the dental assisting position that is open at your office. I
am currently enrolled in the accredited dental assisting program at Wallace State Community College
and have completed 161 clinical hours so far. I am graduating the program in May but will not
complete the program till the end of June. During my time in the program I have maintained a 3.2 GPA
and continued to maintain high grades throughout the program. As I have learned through this program
and my work experience, I am a diligent worker, who can move at a fast pace and work efficiently. I
demonstrate a willingness to learn, excellent patient care, a positive attitude, and great optimism in
trying new things.
During my clinical experiences I have witnessed different paced work environments and
different office operations. I also have assisted with numerous composite fillings, extractions, and
mixing of impression materials such as alginate. Other skills I have are making night guards and
whitening treys and taking x-rays with sensors and film.
If you would allow me to take this opportunity the hours, I work will count towards my clinical
hours that I need for school. I am open to the hours you may need me to work as I only have online
classes to take during the summer semester.
Sincerely,
Katelyn Bussey
