A. Document Verification

Final Disposition Report was reviewed by the Contractor and


Schedule "Q",
A1 submitted to Saudi Aramco within two weeks of acceptance of

The Final Disposition Report includes the following as a

a. Narrative details of Quality activities performed during
manufacturing and fabrication of the equipment or material.
b. Copies of SAUDI ARAMCO approved waivers to SAUDI Schedule "Q",

c. All SA-175 CONTRACTOR witnessed inspections.
d. Copies of supplier quality records as specified in SA-175.
e. Copies of all NCR's with final dispositions and resolutions.

The Exchanger Manufacturer has submitted drawings, calculations, and 32-SAMMS-007,

data in accordance with NMR-7922-1, Nonmaterial Requirements. Para. 13.1

All materials for pressure and non-pressure components conformed with


32-SAMSS-007,
A4 the data sheet and in accordance with Attachment 1 (Table 1,
Para. 5.1.1
Acceptable Materials for Carbon and Low Alloy Steels).

All materials, except carbon steels, shall be alloy verified by the 32-SAMSS-007,

Received heat exchangers are free of physical damage on its Schedule"Q"

Exchangers are verified to be dried and free of loose scales and weld 32-SAMMS-007,

slags, dirt and debris. Para. 11.1.10

Shipping protection was maintained as follows:


a) Flanged connections and all other machined surfaces are protected
by a coating such as, MIL-C-16173 Grade IV.
b) Flanges are fitted with a steel or wood cover, 3 mm thick and 32-SAMMS-007,
B3
neoprene gaskets. Para. 8.1.3
c) Threaded nozzle connections are protected with threaded plugs.
d) Tell-tale holes in reinforcing pads are protected with wooden plugs or
packed with a rust preventative grease such as, Denso paste.

All internal and external attachments, including clips, welded directly to

b. Name of the Manufacturer preceeded by the words

The type of support conformed with the details specified by the in the SAES-E-004,

Where lugs are used as a support for vertical exchangers, minimum
number of four lugs are installed for exchangers above 24 inches in SAES-E-004,

diameter. The locations and orientations of lugs shall be specified on Para. 9.2
the data sheet.
Horizontal exchangers shall be supported by at least two saddles where

D Coating of External Surface

Type Coating applied is suitable for the service condition of the of the SAES-E-004,

equipment per SAES-H-101. Para. 11.3
Apllied coating is free of application deficiencies, mechanical damage or Schedule Q,

E Insulation (if furnished by Vendor)

The extent and thickness of external insulation installed meets the SAES-E-004,

F Fireproofing

The extent of fireproofing required on exchanger supports shall be

G Nozzles

32-SAMSS-007,
G1 NPS 2½, 3½, and 5 nozzles are not be used.

Threaded or socket-welded connections are prohibited in hydrogen,
lethal, wet sour and caustic services.

may be used.)

In total condensing services, a minimum of NPS 1½ connection is 32-SAMSS-007,

Pressure ratings of flanges are in accordance with the following:


1) Pressure ratings of flanges 24 inch NPS and smaller are in
32-SAMSS-007,
G5 accordance with ASME B16.5.

2) Pressure ratings of flanges larger than 24 inch NPS are in
accordance with ASME B16.47, Series A.

The facings of flanges are raised face or ring-type joint in accordance


32-SAMSS-007,
G6 with SAES-L-109.

(NOTE: Flat face flanges may be used in utility services only.)

H Gaskets

For all services and design temperatures, spiral wound gaskets shall be SAES-E-004,

specified with solid outer centering rings. Para, 8.4.2 (1)
For design temperatures > 450°C, spiral wound gaskets shall be SAES-E-004,
H2
specified with solid outer centering rings and inner confining rings. Para. 8.4.2 (2)
For exchangers in continuous vacuum service, irrespective of design
SAES-E-004,
H3 temperature or design pressure, spiral wound gaskets are specified with
Para. 8.4.2 (3)
solid outer centering rings and inner confining rings.

Gaskets for nozzle connections in utility services may be specified as


SAES-E-004,
H4 non-asbestos conforming to ASME B16.21, and must be chemically

resistant and mechanically suitable for the service conditions.
