Introduction
CashPro® Connect Payments is a comprehensive global disbursement and collections service that spans more than
190 countries (and more than 50 additional territories and dependencies). At any time – 24 hours a day, seven
days a week – you can send us a single file containing both electronic and check origination instructions. We will
perform the necessary edits, translate the data into the required global formats and forward the transactions to
the appropriate clearing systems. We will also print and disburse your checks, drafts and remittance advices.

CashPro Connect Payments uses the ASC X12 EDI format as its core process. Delivering ASC X12 EDI data typically
requires the usage of an EDI Translator. However, if you cannot send EDI formatted files, other formats are
available.

This document focuses on U.S. and Canadian payment processing. See International Capabilities for information on
international processing.

Features

Some of the standard features offered by CashPro Connect Payments include:

 The ability to originate payments with the following file formats: EDI 820 and 835, EDIFACT PAYMUL,
PAYEXT, DIRDEB, ISO 20022 XML, and the Bank of America proprietary “flat file.”

 Payment origination for accounts domiciled in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia and Latin America, and
reaching payees all over the globe.

 Comprehensive check print and mail services with postal discounts on eligible domestic mail

 Flexible options for transmitting and securing your data

 24-hour technical support for file delivery

Transmission & Security

Bank of America Merrill Lynch offers flexible ways to transmit and secure your data. A variety of transmission
options are available via the internet, SWIFT and VPN/dedicated connections. Please refer to the B2Bi Technical
Guide for supported protocols and optional features.

Payment Types

You can send electronic and check payment instructions to the bank for the following types of payments:

 ACH (U.S.) – We provide broad capability for supporting U.S. ACH payment formats. We support the
NACHA standard entry class (SEC) codes: CTX, CCD, CCD+, CIE, CIE+, PPD, PPD+, IAT, IAT+, WEB,
WEB+. Please refer to the Automated Clearing House Services User Guide for more information.

 ACH (Canada) – We support in-country ACH services which enable you to make ACH low-value
transactions from your Canadian-based accounts to other Canadian financial institutions. You can
initiate transactions in Canadian or U.S. dollars and settle through your Bank of America Merrill Lynch
account held in Canada. Please refer to the In-Country Canada ACH User Guide for more information.

1
 Wire systems – We support credit and reverse (drawdown) wires, cross-border transactions (SWIFT)
and book transfers.

 Digital Disbursements – We support Digital Disbursements which provide an economical and

convenient way to distribute funds to your U.S. consumer customers using just their mobile number
or email address — as long as they have an account at a U.S.-based financial institution. You’ll be able
to send funds faster than by check and won’t need the recipient’s personal bank account information.
We support Digital Disbursement payments with ISO 20022 XML, EDI 820 and Bank of America Flat
File (BAFF) formats.

 Check Print & Mail Services – We offer a state-of-the-art check printing process supported by
CashPro Connect Payments and the bank’s check-printing vendor Taylor Communications. This
service enables you to combine all of your paper and electronic payments into a single secure file to
send to Bank of America Merrill Lynch for processing and ensures accurate and controlled printing of
your checks and remittance advices at Taylor Communication’s two fulfillment facilities located in
Sacramento, CA and Charlotte, NC.

 Card – We support Visa/MasterCard payments for U.S.-domiciled accounts with ISO 20022 XML and
EDI 820 file formats only.

 Paymode-X® – We support Paymode-X ACH payments for U.S.-domiciled accounts with ISO 20022
XML and EDI 820 file formats only.

Delivery of Remittance Data

Remittance data destined for your trading partner can be included with a payment or can be split and delivered
separately using email, EDI X12, internet browser (through our Bank of America Global Advice service), or in hard
copy mailed by the bank directly to your beneficiaries. Because the capabilities of your trading partners and their
banks may include both EDI and non-EDI, CashPro Connect Payments provides the necessary flexibility to deliver
the type of payment and associated remittance detail in a manner that suits the needs of your trading partners.

Trading Partner Augmentation (ACH)

If your accounts payable system is unable to store trading partner account and bank routing transit number
information, the Trading Partner Augmentation function may be used for ACH payments. After supplying this
information to the bank, it is loaded into a database with an assigned numeric ID. This numeric ID is sent in your
origination file and then cross-referenced against the Trading Partner Augmentation database. In this way, we can
use the information from the database to complete your origination file.

International Support

CashPro Connect Payments is well positioned to meet your international payment needs. As a global provider of
banking services, we deliver an extensive global network and thorough in-country payment knowledge. For more
information regarding our International capabilities using CashPro Connect Payments, please contact your Bank of
America Merrill Lynch Treasury Management Sales Consultant.

2
Payment File Processing Flow

The following graphic shows a high-level view of how data flows through CashPro Connect Payments:

1. You send us a single, secure payment file using a supported file format. You designate the type of
payment – ACH, Digital Disbursement, wire, or check – for each instruction within the payment file.

2. We acknowledge your payment file upon receipt and perform a content edit to review the payment
instructions. We then report whether the payments are accepted or rejected.

3. We send payments as instructed:

 ACH payments are sent with remittance information attached, subject to the limitations of the local
country ACH formats.

 Digital Disbursements are sent to our Payment Transfer System for processing. If any items reject or
suspend, you will receive additional acknowledgements reporting transaction details and reject or
suspend reason.

 Wire payments are sent individually with full remittance information attached.

 Check or draft payments will be sent with full remittance information.

4. Remittance detail not sent with the payment may be sent via email, EDI X12, Internet browser (through
our Bank of America Global Advice service), or in hard copy mailed by the bank directly to your
beneficiaries.

5. If you use our positive pay services, check issue information can be sent to our account reconcilement
system so that you may make pay or no-pay decisions on exception items.

3
File Origination Formats

When you send your payment instruction file to Bank of America Merrill Lynch, you are considered the "originator"
of the file. Likewise, incoming files are called "origination files." A single origination file may contain payment
instructions for ACH, Digital Disbursement, wire or check payments, or any combination of these as needed, in any
order. The types of origination files you can send are as follows:

File Type Description

ASC X12 820, Payment This EDI format initiates both the payment and remittance data for cash application
Order/Remittance Advice purposes.

ASC X12 835, Payment Similar to the 820, the 835 initiates both payment and payment-related data, but it
Order/Remittance Advice1 is specifically designed for the unique needs of the healthcare industry.

ASC X12 831 (optional), Application The 831 can be sent with your 820 or 835 file for additional control. It provides the

EDIFACT PAYEXT, PAYMUL, and
Likewise, DIRDEB is the international standard for direct debits. PAYMUL allows one

or more payments to be made to one or more beneficiaries.

Duplicate Transaction Criteria

As part of our security and controls, CashPro Connect Payments performs a validation to catch any duplicate
transactions in your payment files. For each Sender ID, the bank must receive a unique transaction reference
number within a 32-calendar day period. Any payment instructions containing non-unique transaction numbers
within this period are rejected as duplicate payments. Depending on the file format you choose, you will provide the
unique reference number in the following location:

status of your payment.

Note: You are responsible for reviewing and reconciling the acknowledgement(s) to ensure that the transactions in
your originated file were successful.

The file acknowledgements that the bank sends in response to your payment instructions are as follows:

Payment Types
CashPro Connect Payments supports a variety of payment types: Automated Clearing House (ACH), Digital
Disbursements, Wire, Check, Card and Paymode-X. When you send your payment instructions to us, you identify
each payment type in your file. CashPro Connect Payments uses this information to direct the payment to the
proper disbursement system. The payment types are described in this section.

Automated Clearing House (ACH) Services (U.S.)

Bank of America's ACH Services give clients an economical and convenient way to originate electronic transactions
through the ACH. Our ACH Services can be used for debiting and crediting corporate and consumer accounts.

How the Service Works

Whether you are making payments by issuing credits or collecting receivables using ACH debits, the payment cycle
is as follows:

 Your Receivers (trading partners or clients) authorize you to credit or debit their accounts at any
participating financial institution. Almost all commercial banks, credit unions and savings and loan
associations participate in the ACH network.

 You (the originator) create a file of payment instructions and send it to Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
ACH transactions are identified by payment type using a NACHA Standard Entry Class (SEC) code.

 If you are collecting funds, your Receivers' accounts are debited on settlement day, and your Bank of
America account is credited for your ACH collections. If you send ACH disbursements, your Receivers'
accounts are credited on the settlement date and your Bank of America account is debited 2

ACH Participants and NACHA Rules

NACHA, the Electronic Payments Association formulates ACH rules and standards, and develops technical
specifications for the ACH Network. NACHA rules bind all participants and all Originators and Third Party Senders
must agree to be bound by these rules as they change from time to time. NACHA uses specific terms to apply to
each participant in an ACH transaction. Some of these terms and the roles of each of the participants in the ACH
transaction are briefly described below:

 Originator – The entity (e.g. business or government) that authorizes a financial institution to
transmit a credit, debit or non-monetary instruction to the Receiver’s account.

 Receiver – The entity (e.g. person, business or government) that authorizes an Originator to initiate a
credit, debit or non-monetary entry to the Receiver’s account.

 Originating Depository Financial Institution (ODFI) – The financial institution that processes the ACH
file from the Originator or Third Party Sender and settles the ACH transactions on the Originator or
Third-Party Sender’s behalf. Bank of America Merrill Lynch is the ODFI for your ACH transactions.

2
If you are on prefunding, the timing of your funding requirements for prefunded entries will be different.

6
 Receiving Depository Financial Institution (RDFI) – The financial institution where the Receiver has its
account.

 ACH Operator. The entities which operate the Automated Clearing House for originating and
receiving depository financial institutions. Operators include the Federal Reserve and the Electronic
Payments Network (EPN).

 Gateway Operator. An ACH Operator or a Participating Depository Financial Institution that acts as an
entry point to or exit point from the United States for International ACH Transactions (IAT).

 Third-Party Service Provider. An organization that performs any functions on behalf of the
Originator, the Third-Party Sender, the ODFI, or the RDFI (not including the Originator, ODFI or RDFI
acting in such capacity for such Entries) related to the processing of Entries, including the creation of
the Files or acting as a Sending Point or Receiving Point on behalf of a Participating DFI. An
Organization acting as Third- Party Sender also is a Third-Party Service Provider.

 Third-Party Sender. An organization that an originator may use for outsourcing their payment
services, who acts as an intermediary between the originator and the Originating Depository Financial
Institution (ODFI). A Third-Party Sender is never the Originator for entries it transmits on behalf of
another organization; however, a Third Party Sender may also be an originator of other entries in its
own right.

7
ACH Formats

Each ACH transaction is identified and recognized by a specific Standard Entry Class (SEC) Code. CashPro Connect
Payments supports the following SEC Codes:

SEC Code Definition

Corporate Trade Exchange supports the transfer of funds between corporate entities. The payment-
related addenda information is sent within multiple addenda records (i.e., invoices) along with the
CTX
funds. This is the most common type of EDI-originated corporate transaction. CTX payments need to be
prearranged with your trading partners.

Cash Concentration or Disbursement transactions are used when funds are either distributed or
CCD consolidated between corporate entities. This SEC serves as a stand-alone funds transfer without
remittance.

Like CCD, but supports a limited amount (up to 80 characters including EDI syntax) of payment related
CCD+
data with the funds transfer. This corporate transaction is commonly used for one invoice per payment.

Customer-Initiated Entry supports the transfer of funds by or behalf the holder of a consumer account
CIE
to the non-consumer account of a receiver

Like CIE, but supports a limited amount (up to 80 characters including EDI syntax) of payment related
CIE+
data with the funds transfer

Prearranged Payment and Deposit Entry transactions are where a corporate entity either distributes or
PPD collects funds from a consumer. Such examples are a direct deposit or a pre-authorized bill payment.
This application serves as a stand-alone funds transfer without remittance.

Like PPD, but supports a limited amount (up to 80 characters including EDI syntax) of payment related
PPD+
data with the funds transfer.

International ACH Transactions are payment transactions involving a financial agency’s office that is not
IAT
located in the territorial jurisdiction of the United States.

IAT+ Like IAT, but supports a limited amount of payment related data with the funds transfer.

Internet-Initiated/Mobile Entry supports the transfer of funds initiated by or behalf of a consumer

WEB
account that is intended for a consumer account of the receiver

Like WEB, but supports a limited amount (up to 80 characters: EDI syntax for a WEB+ debit, free form
WEB+
text for a WEB+ credit) of payment related data with the funds transfer.

Prenotification Process

Prior to sending a live transaction to your Receiver’s account, you may wish to send a prenotification. A
prenotification is a special zero-dollar transaction used to test the validity of the account number and transit
routing number provided by your receiver. Please refer to the ACH Services User Guide for additional information
regarding the prenotification process.

8
Returns, Notifications of Change Reporting

 Returned Items – These are entries that failed to post to the beneficiary account. When the receiving
bank rejects an item, it is returned to the bank and credited back to your settlement account. For
example, if the receiver closes their bank account but fails to notify you before a payment is
processed, that item is returned to the bank and you are notified.

 Notifications of Change – A Notification of Change is a zero-dollar transaction generated when the

receiving bank requests that a correction be made and provides the Receiver’s new or corrected
account information such as account number or routing transit number.

Returned items and Notifications of Change can be reported in a variety of formats including an ANSI X12 827
formatted file. For more information regarding Returns, Notifications of Change and reporting options please refer
to the Automated Clearing House Services User Guide.

Reversals

If you have sent a transaction in error, you may be able to reverse it by submitting a Reversal/Deletion Request
Form to your ACH Customer Service Representative. Depending on where the item is in the ACH processing flow, it
may be reversed. The reversal can be done directly with the ACH Customer Service Representative, or
alternatively, you may send a reversal in your payment file.

For more information regarding Reversals please refer to the Automated Clearing House Services User Guide.

Canadian ACH

Our in-country Canadian ACH service enables you to make low value credits and debits in Canada to other
Canadian financial institutions for consumer or corporate accounts. This service provides the capability to initiate
transactions in Canadian dollars or U.S. dollars and settle through your Bank of America Merrill Lynch Accounts
held in Canada.

Canadian ACH transactions clear through the Canadian Automated Clearing Settlement System. ACH transactions
initiated in Canada intended for a recipient in Canada are governed by rules defined by the Canadian Payments
Association. These rules include but are not limited to authorizations, disputes, and returns. You can read or
download a copy of the most current rules from the CPA web site at http://www.cdnpay.ca/.

The Canadian ACH system does not currently support addendum or remittance information. Other arrangements
to deliver remittance detail to your trading partners are available through CashPro Connect Payments. Please refer
to the In Country Canada ACH User Guide for more detailed information on Canadian ACH.

Pre-Authorized Debits

If you intend to debit a corporate or consumer account, it is your responsibility to have a signed agreement
between your company and your trading partner for each account being debited. In the case where a transaction is
disputed, you may be required to produce these documents.

U.S. Domestic and Canadian Wires

 U.S. Domestic wire transactions – These allow companies to send or receive same day funds within
the U.S. and Puerto Rico. Wire transactions are the fastest way to move funds between banks and
offer you finality of settlement upon completion of the transaction. There are no minimum or
maximum dollar transfer amounts but you must send at least one currency unit (dollar).

9
Due to the finality of this type of transaction, CashPro Connect Payments requires that all clients originating U.S.
domestic wires conform to the bank’s security control policy, which requires file authentication and/or encryption.

 Canadian wires – These allow companies to send or receive same day CAD funds within Canada. The
Canadian Large Value Transfer System (LVTS) is the real-time net settlement system that allows the
transfer of funds. The currency type used must match the currency of the sending and receiving
account. There are no minimum or maximum dollar transfer amounts, but you must send at least one
currency unit (dollar).

Due to the finality of this type of transaction, CashPro Connect Payments requires that all clients originating LVTS
transactions conform to the bank’s security control policy, which requires file authentication and/or encryption.

Types of Wire/LVTS Payments

CashPro Connect Payments offers the ability to send three- or four--party domestic wires and international
transfers:

 Three-party is defined as: Originator (client) >> Bank of America Merrill Lynch (first party) >>
Receiving Bank (second party) >> Trading Partner (third party).

 Four-party is defined as: Originator >> Bank of America Merrill Lynch (first party) >> Intermediary
Bank (second party) >> Receiving Bank (third party) >> Trading Partner (fourth party).

Type of Transaction Detail

A U.S. Domestic Wire (credit/payment or debit/drawdown) provides for
same-day electronic settlement of interstate and intrastate US dollar
U.S. Domestic Wire (Fedwire) payments (including Puerto Rico). ABA routing numbers identify both the
first- and second-party banks (find more ABA routing information on:
www.fedwiredirectory.frb.org).

U.S. Dollar International Wires (credit/payment) provide for the electronic

settlement of payments across international borders. International wires
U.S. Dollar International Wires (SWIFT)
can be initiated in U.S. dollars using a SWIFT routing ID (find more SWIFT
routing information on: www.swift.com/biconline).

Type of Transaction Detail

A Canadian domestic wire (credit/payment) provides for same-day
Canada Domestic Wire (LVTS)
electronic settlement of CAD payments within Canada.

Cancellations

To cancel a wire transaction, contact your Customer Service Representative (CSR) at Bank of America Merrill Lynch
as soon as possible. The CSR will determine if the transaction has left the bank and, if not, the transaction can be
cancelled. Cancellations are made on a reasonable effort basis. If the transaction has left the bank, the CSR will
work with you and the receiving bank to try and reverse the transaction; however, there is no guarantee that funds
sent in error can be retrieved.

10
Non-Business Day Settlement

CashPro Connect Payments processes U.S. Domestic Wire transactions using the following settlement criteria:
For future-dated wire entries with a value date that falls on holidays or weekends, the value date will be adjusted
to the previous business day. Bank of America Merrill Lynch can accept future value-dated payments up to 30
calendar days in advance.

 For future-dated drawdown (reverse) entries with a value date that falls on a holiday or weekend, the
value date will be adjusted to the next business day.

 For past-value dated entries, the value date will be changed to the next business day.

 For transactions sent to the bank on a non-business day (holiday or weekend) with a same-day value
date, the value date will be adjusted to the next business day.

Digital Disbursement

Bank of America Merrill Lynch Digital Disbursement Service provides an economical and convenient way to
distribute funds to your U.S. consumer customers using just their mobile number or email address – regardless of
their U.S. based financial institution. This service provides you the ability to send funds faster than by check while
also preserving the confidentiality of your customers’ account information. With this business-to-consumer
solution, we can help you gain efficiencies while helping to reduce the costs associated with paper check
disbursements.

Digital Disbursement Payment Process

You create a file of Digital Disbursement payment instructions which may include other payment types such as
ACH, wire and check and send to Bank of America Merrill Lynch using one of the supported CashPro Connect
Payment formats.

The below chart depicts a high level flow of the Digital Disbursement payment process.

1 Zelle and the Zelle related marks are wholly owned by Early Warning Services, LLC and are used herein under license.
2 Please note: Refers to period of time during which payments are generally available. Depending on the receiving bank and time of
day, payments could be received same day or next business day. Actual times may vary. Available to U.S. bank account holders only.

11
Payment Cancellation Requests

Payment cancellation requests may only be submitted for pending or future dated transactions. Payment
cancellation requests for individual or future dated transactions that have not yet settled to the recipient must be
submitted using one of our supported payment file formats. Please refer to the CashPro Connect Payments file
specifications for more information regarding how to submit cancellations.

Settlement Entries

We will generate settlement entries debiting your operating account at the batch, file or transaction level,
depending upon your choice at the time of setup. The default is batch level settlement. The bank offers the
following standard settlement options:

 Batch – One settlement entry is created per unique combination of Client ID, Client Settlement
Account Number, Process Date, Entry Description and Branding ID provided in your file. Settlement
entries will include Company Name, Client ID, and Entry Description (if provided) and the original
CashPro Connect Payments generated file control number provided when your payments were
submitted for processing.

 File – One settlement entry is created for each operating account and process date combination
within your file. Settlement entries will indicate that the settlement has been consolidated to the file
level and will include Company Name, Client ID and the original CashPro Connect Payments
generated file control number provided when your payments were submitted for processing. If your
file contains multiple process dates, a separate settlement entry is created for each process date.
Therefore, if you desire one settlement debit at the file level, all the transactions in the file need to
have the same operating account and process date.

 Transaction – One settlement entry is created for each transaction within your file. Settlement
entries will include Company Name, Client ID, Confirmation Number, Entry Description (if provided),
Client Transaction Reference ID, the recipient’s name and Client Reference Info (if provided) and the
original CashPro Connect Payments generated file control number provided when your payments
were submitted for processing.

Reporting
The Digital Disbursement Service offers reporting on the processing of your Digital Disbursement activity, from
acknowledgement of file receipt through an activity report designed to help you reconcile settlement entries for
items you originate. A separate set of reports can assist you in managing exceptions. Please refer to the Digital
Disbursement Service User Guide for reporting and delivery options.

Branding Options
You may elect to use a branded notification to your payment recipients which includes your company name and/or
logo. If you elect to use branded notification with your company name, your company name will display in the
“From:” field of the email notification. Up to 20 brandings (consisting of long name, short name and logo) may be
added per client ID. Branding options include:

 Branding notification with your company name and logo

 Branded notification with your company name only

 No company branding in notifications

12
Check Print & Mail Services

CashPro Connect Payments – Check Print & Mail Services offers a complete check outsourcing solution. This
integrated solution includes check printing, mailing, positive pay, and account reconcilement. When a payment file
using one of the supported formats is transmitted to Bank of America Merrill Lynch and contains check payments,
the check transactions are sent to Taylor Communications, the bank’s check-printing vendor. Bank of America
Merrill Lynch uses two fulfillment facilities for check printing – Sacramento, CA and Charlotte, NC.

Taylor Communications prints, folds, inserts, meters, and mails or couriers all the checks and remittance advices
according to your specific requirements. The bank then sends the check issue data to the appropriate system for
Account Reconcilement, Positive Pay or Payee Positive Pay services.

Standard Check and Remittance Features

The bank offers the following standard options:

 Check Stock – The base check stock is a single 8.5 by 11 inch sheet of security paper with a perforated
bottom one-third check portion containing a blue Copy Ban background. The top one-third of the
sheet is used primarily as the mailing panel and the remainder is used for remit information and
contains approximately 19 lines of remittance detail for columnar style remittance advices and 25
lines for letter style remittance advices.

 Envelope – This is a standard #10 single window envelope. The return and mailing address printed in
the remittance portion is visible through the window. The check is concealed when tri-folded and
placed in the single window envelope. Up to five pages can be automatically inserted into a #10
envelope. This can include the check, additional remittance pages, a generic insert, or any
combination within the five-document limit. More than five pages require a standard 9 x 12
envelope.

 Additional Remit Pages – Additional remit pages are white 8 ½ x 11 cut sheet paper. These are used
for remit information after the check remit section has been filled. The maximum number of lines per
page is 60.

 Ancillary Service Endorsements – For U.S. disbursement accounts, Bank of America Merrill Lynch
offers two USPS® service options – “Return Service Requested” and “Forwarding Service Requested”.
“Return Service Requested” is used primarily for corporate accounts payable mailings where
undeliverable mail is returned to the address printed on the mail piece to allow you to update your
databases for future mailings. “Forwarding Service Requested” is used primarily for consumer type
payments such as refund checks where the mail piece is forwarded to the payee and no notification is
provided to the mailer.

 Templates – A variety of pre-determined templates may be selected to customize your remittance

including columnar, letter and free-form style formats.

 Promotional Text – The standard remittance portion of your check can include a promotional or
informational message to your customers which appears on every check remittance. We support up
to 5 lines of 30 characters per line for your message.

 Logos – Our standard check format allows for the use of a company logo that can be printed in black
and white on the check and/or remittance advice. You should provide us with black and white

13
camera-ready artwork or a TIFF formatted image. BMP, JPG and EPS formats are also supported. The
size of the logo should be no larger than 1.9” x 0.9”.

 Signatures – A standard check can have either one or two signature lines in the lower right corner of
the check. Signatures should be presented to the bank using the Bank of America Merrill Lynch
Authorized Signature specification document. Taylor Communications then scans the signature into
the required format and stores it on a secure server.

Cancellations

CashPro Connect Payments systems do not interrupt payment files in process in order to protect data integrity.
You may request cancellation of a file or individual checks to be pulled that have been submitted in error for
printing and mailing by completing and emailing a Check Pull request form to the CashPro Connect Global
Operations (CPCGO) team. The email address is edi@bankofamerica.com.

If the check has not left the print facility, it can be pulled and sent overnight to you for handling. If it has already
left the print facility, you can initiate a stop payment through normal bank channels.

The cut-off times for sending check pull requests are:

 For checks printed at the Taylor Communications Charlotte site: 11:30 a.m. ET/8:30 a.m. PT

 For checks printed at the Taylor Communications Sacramento site: 2:30 p.m. ET/11:30 a.m. PT

Requests will be acted upon on a best efforts basis only and may not be fulfilled.

Check Voids

Voids should be placed when a check has been issued and submitted to the bank but not released to the payee, in
order to remove the outstanding issue. We recommend placing stop payments in addition to submitting voids for
maximum protection against fraud. Voids may be submitted

 to ARP using ARP proprietary flat file format

 via CashPro Online

 via CashPro Connect using one of the following file formats:

 ASC X12 EDI 820 (Version 4010)
 ISO 20022 XML Credit Transfer Initiation (V2 and V3)
 BAFF (The Bank of America Proprietary Flat File)
 CSV (available through Electronic File Delivery – EFD)

 Rigorous project management to help ensure target delivery dates are met and services validated to
meet client expectations

International Capabilities
Whether you are looking to outsource a single domestic payment process or to establish a global payment
platform, CashPro Connect Payments is well positioned to meet your needs. As a global provider of banking
services, Bank of America Merrill Lynch delivers an extensive global network, proven project management skills to
lead the implementation process, thorough in-country payment knowledge and advanced technology to integrate
with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and treasury workstations.

The significant benefits of a global payments platform using CashPro Connect Payments include:

 Convenience of one delivery point for all global payment instructions in a single file.

 Easy access to worldwide, in-country payment clearing systems, eliminating multiple transmissions
and interfaces, thus reducing operating expenses.

 Real-time reporting, high-level security techniques, and state-of-the-art equipment ensure that
payment instructions are processed timely, accurately, and confidentially.

 Productivity increase and internal resources available to focus on core competencies.

After receiving your global payments file, all international transactions (i.e., in-country ACH payments, high value
payments, direct debits, remittance advises, etc.) are separated and routed to the appropriate processing
application. Our Global Banking System segregates all payment instructions by country and reformats the
payments to meet local clearing requirements.

We direct payments to the local ACH and high value in-country clearing systems. Payments are settled in the local
currency and debited from an in-country bank account. Depending upon the requirements of the local clearing
systems and your trading partners, we can send remittance data either via email, EDI or Internet delivery using our
Global Advice service.
