 AGROINDUSTRY SYSTEM
System is a composition or a combination of various components
that form a single entity that serves to achieve a certain goal. Agricultural industry
System study the various components that make up an industry in agriculture in
accordance with those objectives. Components include: raw materials, finance,
labor, networking, management, to marketing. Agricultural industry was built as a
continuation of the development of conventional farming. Agricultural industry
vision is to grow and develop in a sustainable manner, able to compete, able to
respond to market changes, improve the national economy, and can improve the
welfare of the community.
History of the industrial world in Indonesia since the economic crisis
has proved that the industrial development strategy that only relies on the
manufacturing industry have proved very fragile. In contrast the agricultural
sector (agro-industries) showed its durability in the face of a wave of crises, thus
needs a lot of agro-industry development using local raw materials and agriculture
based on the more urgent to implement.
Agricultural industry has been able to increase the income of
industry players, many workers, improve foreign exchange, and encourage the
emergence of related industries as a multiplier effect. Economic and information
globalization has encouraged the development of agro-industry growth process
filled with loads of technology and capital in order to fulfill the market needs.
Agro-industries such as manufacturing industry, has a very close relationship with
the components of the preparation, so that a comprehensive approach is a
prerequisite in the search solution that can be accounted for. Industrial
applications and environmental engineering, industrial systems and production
management, quality control and management of integrated marketing was able to
push forward the rapid agro-industries that are compatible with advanced
technology.
Agricultural industry problems in Indonesia, among others, the
interconnection between subsystems need to be strengthened, the quality of
trained human resource needs as the main perpetrators of the industry, the
development of engineering science and technology competitiveness-building,
development of agro need to pay attention to those aspects of natural resource
conservation.
To develop agricultural industry required continuity of supply of raw
materials, consistency of government support, ease of facilities capital, broader
market access, strengthening infrastructure, attention and strengthening R & D,
industrial linkages upstream to downstream, process quality and product
excellence, strengthening the entrepreneurial spirits.
Agricultural development strategy is needed to encourage the
emergence of new industries, creating a strong economy, improve efficiency,
flexibility, value added, income, employment, income distribution, driver of
regional development, equitable distribution of development, economic growth,
national stability, role of banks as a source of capital. Agro-industry development
strategy to adjust to global change, develop innovation, investment and trade,
reduce the factors inhibiting industrial growth, increase efficiency, improve
managerial quality, enhance the autonomy of the business. Meanwhile, to build a
sustainable agro-industry productivity and profitability have improved, natural
resource conservation must be maintained and continuously improved its carrying
capacity, and the most important thing is to minimize the negative impacts of
water resource utilization.
