Curriculum content name, Name: Level 1

number and description:
Number: CSL 1.2.2

Classify the types of information that can be stored as

variables (e.g., Booleans, characters, integers, floating points,
strings)

Learning Objective: ➢ Want students to get comfortable in coding

➢ To learn how to use arrays in coding
➢ Learn about Variables and be able to use them and
implicate arrays in coding for the future.

Learning Activities: The students will be watching a video on how to code arrays.
While watching the video the students will complete a graphic
organizer on the video.
Video:
The students will watch a video on computer programming
arrays. the students will watch the video and try to implicate
the process they see from the video on their actual screens.
This video will show the kids how to use arrays and to get a
better example of information that can be stored as variables,
for example in this video they will learn about how and when
and all the different ways to use the integer variable.
Graphic organizer:
The students will fill out a graphic organizer on what they have
learned throughout the video. I asked questions that the
instructor of the video talks specifically about and the
students should be able to follow along throughout the video.

Assessment/evaluation: The students will be assessed on their completion of the

graphic organizer. If they answer the questions correctly and
give examples of code and did not leave any boxes blank, they
will receive full credit. If some students answered wrong or
left blank I will set up time to make sure that they understand
the code and make sure that they got it because code builds
on from what is previous learned.
