Organization and Management for Grade XI


Third Quarter
Human Resource Management

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
a. Explain why strategic human resource management can help an organization gain a competitive
advantage.
b. Describe the steps managers take to recruit and select organizational members.
c. Discuss the training and development options that ensure organization members can effectively
perform their jobs.

II. SUBJECT CONTENT


Subject Matter: Organization and Management
Topic: Human Resource Management

Materials: LED projector, laptop, board and marker

III. PROCEDURES
A. Preparation

1. Daily Activities
a. Prayer
b. Checking of Attendance
c. Collecting of Assignments

2. Motivation

 Show a picture. Ask the students to describe the picture.


 Ask the students how they would describe what human resource management is all about

B. Presentation/Lesson Proper

1. Relate the motivational activities conducted to the topic to be discussed.


2. Introduce the topic on Human Resource Management through Power Point Presentation.
3. Ask one student to read the definition of Strategic Human Resource Management.
4. Elaborate the lesson and its appurtenant sub topics.
5. Point out the important details about the topic.

C. Activity
 Give some examples and ask volunteers from the class to recite it.

D. Application

 Show the picture again at the motivation activity. Briefly enumerate what is the components of
human resource management

IV. GENERALIZATION

Understanding the principles of human resource management, why it is important in very


organization, and what it can do to improve the operation in every organization. It can be observed and
related to the actual experiences we have encountered every day
V. ASSESSMENT/EVALUATION

Direction: Solve for the missing lengths, given only two measurements.

1. a = 4, b = 6, c=?
2. b = 10, h = 8, n=?
3. b = 4, n = 3, h=?
4. b = 6, c = 15, a=?
5. a = 5, m = 7, h=?

VI. ASSIGNMENT

1. In an open field area, select an object whose height you cannot measure.
2. Lay a small mirror horizontally on the ground exactly 1 meter in front of the object.
3. Slowly walk backwards until you can just see the top of the object in the mirror.
Determine your distance from the mirror.
4. Measure the distance from the ground to your eye level.
5. Draw similar triangles representing this situation in the space below. Label the diagram and indicate
all known measurements with units.
