Aesthetic character of the area

It is certain that with the development of the road leads to a transformation of noticeable appearance in
the road. The old road which had only single lane developed into two lanes and further it has added
concrete covered drainages, paved walkways as new road development features. And also, lane
markings have placed more visibly to required places which has enhanced the quality of the road. Color
light systems to Pannipitiya and Malabe junction was an additional development phase under this
project.

Although there was no tree plantation at the both sides of the road or newer methods for shadings, the
trees which had always there even before the development have provided shade and greenery. Because
of there was no action to dispose garbage, people throw garbage all over the sides of the road and the
municipal council take away that garbage once a week. The only reason to disfigure the road is that
above mentioned issue. Furthermore, road has affected by the people who sell cool drinks at the road
which has eventually led to issues like traffic congestions.

When it comes to the overall view of the road, clearly can be seen the advanced appearances of the
road. Even though there are few changes to be implemented, it is clear that the situation has been
improved compare to the previous situation of the road.
