Rationale:

“Unity is strength, when there is team work and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved”. (Mattie Stepanek).
It is believed that teamwork is an essential part of any organization. For educational institutions like Bulala High School,
where almost half of the faculty and staff are newly hired (7 out of 15 teachers are newly hired), teambuilding activity
should be on top priority. Strangeness to a work environment, gender insensitive workplace and not to mention workload
issues results to teacher burn out and could oftentimes lead to poor performance. It is for these reasons that the
proponent had come up with an activity that could address the above mentioned issues. Thus, a “1-Day Gender and
Development Seminar and Team Building Activities” will be conducted among the BHS faculty and staff. The aim of the
activity is to promote a gender sensitive workplace with teachers collaborating for a common goal leading to increase the
school performance.
Objectives:
This activity aims to:
1. Strengthen teamwork among Faculty members of Bulala HS regardless of gender.
2. Re-orient the Teachers and acquaint the newly hired teachers on GAD plans and programs.
3. Increase the level of participants’ awareness on gender issues.

All expenses will be charged against school MOOE (GAD Fund) subject for usual accounting and auditing rules and
regulations.
