Hosea 10:12---PREPARING THE HEART FOR REVIVAL

Hosea 10:12- Break down the fallow ground. Revival concerns the church and the
unsaved In order to soften the hearts of human beings, we do self-examination thus:

1- Note the state of your mind

2- See where you are with God spiritually
3- Pay attention to your heart
4- Know whether you are doing well in your faith or not
5- Know whether you are gaining or losing ground
6- Are your activities fruitful or going to waste.
7- Check to see if you are walking with God or the devil daily
8- Look over your personal history
Not glancing at your past lives, but examine individual sins one by one. Go over them as carefully
as a merchant goes over his books. Each time a sin comes to mind, add it to the list.
General confessions of sin will never do. Your sins were committed one by one, and they should be
reviewed and repented of one by one.
Now, begin and review what are commonly, but improperly called sins of omission-our neglect.
a- Ingratitude-remember times when you have received favors from God
for which you have never thanked Him.
b- Lack of love for God- Think how grieved and alarmed you would be if
you discovered any lessening of affection for you in your wife, husband or children
c- Neglecting your bible reading
d- Instances of unbelief
e- Neglect of prayer
Poor spiritual attitude-The way you have performed your spiritual duties can also reflect a poor atti-
tude. Eg. Praying with a lack of faith or feeling in a worldly frame of mind.
a- A lack of love for the souls of your fellowmen
b- A lack of concern for unbelievers
Sin of hypocrisy-Do you deny yourself the luxuries of life?

We are responsible:
a- It is wrong to neglect to watch over your brothers and sisters in
Christ- would you watch your wife/child go into disgrace, fall into the fire, and hold your peace? No
Discipleship and self-denial-Neglect of self-denial-unwilling to surrender your heart, mind and soul
to the creator of the universe to bring about total transformation in your life.
