VISIT TO SANJEEVANI OLD AGE HOME

INTRODUCTION:

We students of M.Sc nursing I year along with students of B. Sc. Nursing 3 rd year
visited the valuable place of the community i.e. SANJEEVANI OLD AGE HOME on 4and 5
th st February 2014. The sanjeevani old age home are situated at kota road Raipur .it is run by
non-government organization .it was established in 12 th February 2009 .

AIMS OF VISIT:

 To explore out the physical set up of the institute.

 To find out the organizational structure of institute.
 To know the how service and facilities provided to them..
 To make them feel special.
 To make them happy and bring smile on their face.

DEFINITION OF OLD AGE HOME

According to Wikipedia- “Old age home is a multiresidence housing facility intendend for
senior citizen.”

INTRODUCTION
We reached there along with all the team members on 4th and 5th February at 11:00 am.
Firstly, we gathered in the meeting hall where the principal of institution Mrs. Shweta Bhosle
gave introduction about the institution organization and facilities rendered by them. Later on,
she gave us the orientation of institution and introduced us to their members . where we
interacted with the people. It was a pleasure witnessing of such wonderful work i.e.
unconditional services.

OBJECTIVES OF OLD AGE HOME

 To help needy aged (above 60 year)irrespective of cast or creed.
 To provide food shelter and clothing.
 To provide medical care to improve the health.
 To provide companionship ,emotional support ,therapeutic occupation ,and recreational
facilities,and activities to overcome social isolation.
 To promote self confidence.

ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
Established on -12th February 2009.

Location-kota road Raipur.
Total room-5 rooms with kitchen.
Total bed-30 bed.
FACILITIES
 Proper lighting and drinking water supply .
 Having bathroom facility.
 It has also T.V for the entertainment of the old aged.
 Also provide food and cloth to the aged people.
 It provide bed for the elders.
 It provide all the basic need of the life.
 Every month routine health check-up is provided.
 They also visit religious place free of cast like:
-champ nagary
-Jagannath temple
-Haridwar
-Ganga sagar
-Shirdi

CLEANING-cleaning of the old age home is done by the elders only.

MANAGEMENT-sanjeevani old age home is managed by Badhte kadam

samaj sevi sanstha.

SPECIAL CARE TO OLD AGE PEOPLE BY GIVING-

“Respect, love and affections”.

CONCLUSION-
By visiting the sanjeevani old age home we gained knowledge about the
feelings of the olders,the services and facilities provided to them & how
the old age home is managed.
