FOR AIRCRAFT TECHNICIANS (FTE)

Respected Sir,

We, newly recruited Aircraft Technicians (FTE) of AIESL joined in year 2017 whole heartedly thank you for providing us the
opportunity to work in an Esteemed organization and in glamorous industry like Aviation where we are getting opportunity to learn
and work on sophisticated machines. Also your kind attention is drawn towards our salary structure which is recently fixed.

1) As per that we are paid a stipend of 15,000 P.m. during our training period and upon completion of that 20,000(Under
Revision) salary for a period of 5 years. As our terms and conditions are completely different from that of previous
employees we are not eligible for all other additional benefits which they are availing.
2) But as per new Rules made by the Government of India, Ministry of labour &Employment. Notification No. G.S.R.
235(E) dated 16.3.2018 to incorporate Fixed Term Employment Workman category under the
Industrial Employment (Standing Orders) Act, 1946 and Rules made thereunder.
It states that A “fixed term employment workman” is a workman who has been engaged
On the basis of a written contract of employment for a fixed period:
Provided that-
(a) His hours of work, wages, allowances and other benefits shall not be less than that of a permanent workman; and
(b) he shall be eligible for all statutory benefits available to a permanent workman proportionately according to the
period of service rendered by him even if his period of employment does not extend to the qualifying period of
employment required in the statute’.
3) But these rules are not implemented to us and there is no enhancement in our salary or other facilities.
4) To bring to your Kind notice as per present standards even Loaders, casual labours, cleaners, etc.(unskilled labour F.T.E)
are getting more or equal pay than Aircraft Technician (skilled labour F.T.E) in Air India.
There is no difference between skilled and unskilled labour (salary wise).
5) Thus keeping in view the fact that we being technically qualified (BAMEC holders, Engineering Graduates & Diploma
holders) and duties which we are performing involves
i) Being Technically literate to read/understand/interpret technical literature
ii) Adept understanding of mechanics and how various parts of machinery interact with each other.
iii) Detail-oriented personality and troubleshooting skills
iv) Communication skills, including writing and speaking, since aircraft technicians often work in teams and must keep
thorough records of all repairs and maintenance done on an aircraft
v) Working in all sort of environment which involves dust/noise pollution etc.
vi) Compromising with timings and body cycle
vii) Handling heavy and sophisticated tools
viii) Being active and ensuring Aircraft is turned around with in time along with AME.ETC….

Keeping in view of all the above points we sincerely and humbly request you to consider our application and view it
sympathetically. We would be extremely grateful towards the organisation if our pay and other facilities (like passage, medical,
etc...) are revised as per the new Rule made by the Ministry of labour & Employment which shall not be less than that of a
permanent workman.
This is a sincere request from all of us, any positive approach from your side will motivate us to give our best and 100 % output
to the organization. We request you to implement Rules made by the Ministry of labour & Employment.
