Common Mistakes: NEED TO BE DISCUSSED

AND NOTED WITH STUDENTS.

Day 1

1- Before beginning, ensure that all ADIs have been backed up to another location as they
will be removed during the following process.

2- Back-up InSite database, configurations, templates and layouts before uninstall InSite.
(Forget back-up data before uninstall).

3- Uninstall InSite from your computer. Go Programs and Features function of the Control
Panel. After the program has run, restart your computer.

4- NEVER just delete the INSITE and ADI folders as this will make the computer unable to
remove or add InSite and the computer will probably need to be re-imaged to fix this
issue.

5- Creating OS or list (Tsorders) Select the right Operating System (Win XP, Win 7,…etc.)
during adding new system.

6- Check the latest approved version of InSite/InSite plotting (Recent Tech Bulletins).

7- Install the new version without uninstall the old version.

8- Install the InSite from the executable file (.exe).

9- Placing more than one valid license in for the InSite under the LAM location.

10- The way to check the InSite version even with expired license.
