 What am I ? I am composed of a seven-lettered word. Can you guess me?


 Don't worry. I have a few words that might help you guess me. In the end, we will have to take
the first letter of each word you have guessed to finally know What am I? By the way, the first
letter of each word can be repeated in order for you to guess me.

anxiety because the physical contact communicates caring.

2. Purpose of Therapeutic Massage

3. What is Effleurage Massage?


- A French word which means “to touch lightly on”.
- A soothing, stroking movement that is used at the beginning and end of a facial/or body
massage.
- The direction of stroking should always be towards the heart.

4. Five Basic Strokes of Effleurage Massage


- Raking
- Ironing
- Circular
- Two - Handed Heart
- Nerve Stroke

*It is advisable that while the students watches the video, advise them to find a partner and
let them do the strokes by partner.

Instructions

1. After knowing the Five Basic Strokes of Effleurage, The class will be divided into groups.
The formation of groups will be according to the interest of the students. There are no limits
as to the number of members for each group.

Group 1 - Dancing Group


Group 2 - Singing Group
Group 3 - Poetry Group
Group 4 - Role - Playing Group

2. Each group will only have 10 minutes to conceptualize. After that, each group will have to
show the Five Basic Strokes of Effleurage based on their groupings.

3. Each group will be graded according to the rubrics provided.

“If a client is experiencing chest pain, and difficulty in breathing, will you or will you not continue
with the massage? Why?”

 The students only have ten (10) minutes to answer the question.
 They will be graded accordingly with the help of a rubrics
