experiences of underrepresented students in collegiate music education programs and was presented at 
both the 2017 Cultural Diversity in Music Education conference in Kathmandu, Nepal, and the 2017 Society 
for Music Teacher Education conference in Minneapolis, MN;  
● “Improving Communication through Song” - the study explores the effectiveness of social story songs in 
support of adults with intellectual disabilities and was presented at the 2016 Undergraduate Research 
Symposium.
