DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 Received instruction from Supervisor about the job including details about the instruments, with
sketches, wiring etc.
 Responsible to provide guidance and support to operations during shutdown activities.
 Responsible to provide guidance and support to operations during commissioning & start-up.
 Responsible to adhere and follow the implemented Quality, Health, Safety and Environment
(QHSE) policy, objectives and procedures.
 Maintenance on hydraulic valves this includes leak check, replacing of relief valve, stroking by
means of solenoid valve.
 Performing Instrument Protective Function Test (IPF test),Critical to Plant Performance test (CTPP
test) on various instruments as per maintenance schedule.
 Able to read and understand Process Engineering Flow Scheme(PEFS), Piping and
Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID), Instrument Loop Diagram (ILD), Cause and Effect Diagram
Simple Logic Drawings and Instruction manuals for a specific instrument to use on
troubleshooting.
 Calibrates, test, troubleshoots, and repairs various instruments (pneumatic, hydraulic and
electronic) analog and digital devices.
 Preventive and Corrective Maintenance of Fire & Gas System Instrumentation open path gas
detectors, toxic gas detectors, hydrocarbon gas detectors, ultrasonic leak detectors, IR flame
detectors, smoke and heat detectors and other sensor link for the Fire & Gas System.
 Calibration on diff. control valves which includes partial stroking, replacing of positioner or
solenoid valve if required and adjusting the air supply by means of air regulator.
 Validation and Calibration of different kinds of instruments such as pressure, temperature, flow
and level transmitters DP level, DP flow, DP pressure and , switches, smart positioners.
 Knowledge in Intrinsically Safe Method for all hazardous area regards to Electrical /
Instrumentation.
