PRODUCT AND FACILITIES

The supermarket store ‘Bhat - Bhateni’ aims at launching a different experience in the
context of Nepal. Since the supermarket store is a goods and service business, the limelight
is basically the ambience, main basic daily requirements such as food, clothes, electronics
gadgets, and some enthusiastic activities. In the context of ambience, the place is to be
highly decorated with quality products and services from different brands.
Additionally, the supermarket store provides lots of option for goods selection, where
customers can choose from the store.

RESOURCES
There is typical use of four of the main resources: land, labor, capital and entrepreneurship.

● Labor: This involves employees who tend to work for the supermarket store

● Capital: It is the investment in the business or the amount needed to run the business
7
● Enterprise: The only combination of labor and capital resources is not suitable to
run a business/ supermarket store. So, in order to combine the resources to
effectively run the supermarket store, there is the need of an entrepreneur. Hence,
the entrepreneur thereby sets up the total working of the supermarket store in the
hope for future profit.

● Raw materials: Without the raw materials, none of the businesses can run. For ‘Bhat
- Bhateni’ supermarket store the raw materials could be equipment, vegetables and
meat, appliances, foods etc. in order to make a conjoined service.

LOCATION
The supermarket store is also tourist focused so it would be suitable for the supermarket
store to be placed in a popular tourist area. Therefore, it can be situated in the heart of
Kathmandu’s downtown, i.e., Koteshwor, Balaju, Kalanki, Anamnagar, Krishna Galli,
Chabel. It is also expanding outside the Kathmandu valley. Since, it is an emerging
supermarket store which runs under a certain theme focusing on the people daily
requirement and demands of all-aged group people, the downtown area gives more prolific
opportunities to grow faster. In a city's downtown, where population is high and
concentrated and people of all kinds are present, there is more of a chance for a supermarket
store’s name, logo, image and brand overall to be recognized and remembered. Moreover,
the supermarket store will be easily accessible to its suppliers as well as customers. So,
there is more connection, communication and convenience.

CONCLUSION
Our supermarket store business tends to focus more on the interests and needs of the
consumers and provide the products and services accordingly. With through market
research, we have analyzed that there aren’t many theme supermarket stores in the context
of Nepal. So commencing one in such a way that it not only attracts the consumers but also
satisfy them with the services in the most convenient and unique way was one of their first
mission. For this, we searched about what are the latest trends among the Nepalese people
has been popularizing in the market. We concluded that, in the recent years, there has been
massive increase in the customers who likes new and better quality products which cost
low price and which particularly specializes in quality products availability.
We also further concluded that a supermarket store business can precisely be influenced
by various external as well as internal factors. So we need to take in account such various
factors and deal, and amend strategies accordingly. Additionally, we also learned about the
ways in commencing a supermarket store business and the needed financial, marketing as
well as overall development plan for the project.

RECOMMENDATION
We think that the school has provided us with a very practical business report topic year
which is by far the most important topic, i.e., Business Development Plan. The project has
helped us to learn and look thoroughly upon certain areas and factors when commencing a
business. Despite of all the management in the Business Report, following are a few
recommendations to the schools regarding the report:

● Time allocated should be enough to carry out all the activities.

12
● The college should also take some major actions for the equal and proper
participation of all the group members.
