There are two major endings to the Main Quest line in Blood and Wine.

Follow these steps to earn each:

Good Ending – The Sisters Reconcile

To resolve the situation peacefully, defeat the monster Detlaff and begin the
quest “Pomp and Strange Circumstance” — before Syanna’s trial, there is
one last chance for Geralt to unravel the truth behind the murders and
discover the identity of the final planned victim in the killings.
1. As this quest starts, begin investigating by following the optional objectives. Speak with your
bootblack informant. The bootblack sends Geralt to a homeless shelter in the city frequented by a
man that might know more.
2. Defeat the enemies outside the homeless shelter and speak with the beggar to learn the final victim’s
name.
3. Next, travel to the prison where Syanna is held. Speak with the NPC Guard until he allows Geralt to
confront Syanna.
4. Speak with Syanna and select these dialogue options:
1. “Cause she turned her back on you, forgot about you.”
2. “Might ask her that.”
3. “Ever thought to forgive her?”
5. At the award ceremony, speak with the Duchess Anna about her sister and select this option:
1. “Got bad news – Syanna was out to kill you.”
6. At the trial itself, Geralt will have to make a statement. Choose the option:
1. “Syanna’s clearly guilty.”
7. After Syanna speaks her piece, Geralt will have one final dialogue choice that determines the ending:
1. “You were children then, both.”

Make these choices and Anna will forgive Syanna, leading the sisters to
reconcile over their childhood differences and embrace. There’s a lot more
ending after this — Yennifer and Ciri make appearances — but this is the
part of the quest ending you’ll have control over.

Bad Ending – The Fifth Victim

Earning the bad ending is much less involved. At the same point in the story,
post-Detlaff battle, you’ll be able to continue the investigation during the
Main Quest “Pomp and Strange Circumstance” — what to do?
1. Do nothing. Do not speak with the bootblack again, and do not investigate the murders any further.
2. Go to the award ceremony without talking to Syanna in her cell.

At the trial, a very different result will occur — Syanna kills Anna, and is
killed herself shortly thereafter. This is the most tragic ending to the story of
these two sisters, leading to both of their deaths in a senseless struggle.
The ending for Geralt is happier and extends further than expecting, serving
as an epilogue to the entire Witcher 3 saga.

Endings
This page contains information on the endings available in The Witcher 3. There are many
different factors that make up the game's 36 different endings. While this does not mean that
there are almost 40 ending cutscenes, it instead refers to the number of variations there can be
in the game world at the story's end.

Story Endings
This section will cover the outcome of the game's main story. Of course, there are many
additional end-game scenarios, so be sure to check out Geralt's Epilogues and World-State
Endings.
The outcome of the story largely depends on choices Geralt makes during the missions Battle
Preparations, Blood on the Battlefield and Final Preparations.
Ending 01

[[Ciri]] Becomes a Witcher

This finale occurs if Geralt chooses more positive actions during the missions Battle
Preparations, Blood on the Battlefield and Final Preparations, and did not visit the Emperor
during Blood on the Battlefield.
After the events on Undvik, Geralt goes to see Emhyr var Emreis and tell him that his daughter
sacrificed herself to prevent the White Frost from consuming the land.
Afterwards, he makes his way back to the former garrison outpost in White Orchard, where he
receives a specially-crafted silver sword from a hired blacksmith. He then returns to the White
Orchard Inn, where he meets Ciri in disguise and presents her with her new Witcher sword - a
tool she is eager to test in the field.
Ending 02

Ciri Becomes Empress of Nilfgaard

This ending occurs if Geralt chose more positive actions during the missions Battle
Preparations, Blood on the Battlefield and Final Preparations, and visited the Emperor
during Blood on the Battlefield, and Nilfgaard wins the war.
After the events on Undvik, you finds yourself at the inn in White Orchard. It is winter, and
Zoltan and Dandelion are sitting nearby arguing as you excuse yourself to meet an old friend for
a hunt at a nearby hunters shack. Speak with the hunter when you arrive, and he'll direct you on
to your next nearby destination.
You'll meet Ciri there; the two set out on what will be several small, but meaningful
father/daughter activities, as well as light conversation. When Ciri and you return to the inn,
you'll find a group of Nilfgaardian soldiers waiting to escort Ciri back to the palace. Ciri tells
you when she previously spoke to her father, Emhyr, that she realized that the only way she
could affect things positively in the world was to ascend to the Nilfguard throne. After a tearful
goodbye, the two of you part ways - certain that you will meet again.
Ending 03

Ciri Dies

This is the equivalent of the "bad ending" to Witcher 3. If, during the missions Battle
Preparations, Blood on the Battlefield and Final Preparations, Geralt responded negatively to
his decisions and admonished Ciri, she will lose faith in herself during her final confrontation
against the White Frost.
One week after the events on Undvik, Geralt returns to Crookback Bog to seek vengeance on the
crone Weavess - who had stolen Ciri's witcher medallion. With the aid of a werewolf, Geralt
defeats Weavess and her monsterous allies - though the Witcher is overcome with grief upon
recovering the pendant. As the game comes to a close, Geralt is swarmed by dozens of monsters
in the swamp - his ultimate fate left unknown.
Character Endings

This section contains information on the fate of various characters that Geralt encounters during
the course of the game.
Geralt of Rivia

There are three epilogues for Geralt at the end of The Witcher 3, providing he doesn't get the
"bad" ending:
Geralt remains a Witcher on the Path: If Geralt makes no attempt to romance either Triss
Merigold orYennefer of Vengerberg - or, worse yet, attempts to romance them both- he will
spend the remainder of his days as a Witcher on the open road, occasionally reminiscing with old
friends about the life he might have lived instead.

Geralt retires to Kovir with Triss: This ending occurs if, during the missions A Matter of Life
and Death and Now or Never, Geralt romances Triss and asks her to stay with him (and avoids
romancing Yennefer later in the game). The couple move north to Kovir, where Merigold earns a
handsome living as an advisor to the king, while Geralt takes on the occasional Witcher
Contract.

Geralt and Yennefer retire together: If Geralt avoids romancing Triss Merigold and instead
attempts to woo Yennefer during the mission The Last Wish, the Witcher and the Sorceress will
retire together - far from the noise and danger of politics and adventure.
Emperor Emhyr var Emries

If Geralt did nothing to aid the assassination of Radovid in the side quest A Deadly Plot, or
sided with Sigismund Djikstra in the mission Reason of State, the Nilfgaardian empire will lose
their war and be pushed back to the south. Seeing their emperor defeated and humiliated, the
Nilfgaardians gain the strenght to overthrow their leader - gutting him in the process.
Should players complete the side quest Reasons of State and side with Vernon Roche, Emhyr
var Emries will successfully conquer the North. Once his invasion is complete, he seeks out and
eliminates anyone within his ranks who sought to do him traitorous harm.
Phillip Strengar, Baron of Velen

If, during the story mission The Whispering Hillock, Geralt decided to kill the spirit ( or save it
by performing the quest BEFORE starting the mission “Ladies of the Wood”), the Baron will
rescue his wife during the mission Return to Crookback Bog. Anna (his wife) will be in severe
shock, and Strengar vows to get her help from a medecin man in the far-off Blue Mountains.
If Geralt frees the spirit of The Whispering Hillock, then a foul curse will be put upon the
Baron's wife during Return to Crookback Bog. Despite lifting the hex, Anna is too weak to
survive - bereft at her passing, the Baron hangs himself from the tree in Crow's Perch.

The Leader of The North

Endings: Who Rules the North? - The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Guide
Based on choices Geralt makes throughout the game, the lands of Novigrad and Velen may end
up with one of three rulers at the completion of the game.
Radovid the Stern

This ending occurs if Geralt does not assisnt in the assassination of the Redanian king in the side
quests A Deadly Plot or Reason of State.
Despite being certifiably insane, Radovid proved himself a tactical mastermind time and time
again. As such, he was able to defeat the Nilfgaardian invaders and push them back to the south.

After the war had finally ended, Radovid's men continued their purge for "Moral Renewal."
Mages, non-humans, even healers and pellars all face persecution, if not far worse.
Sigismund Djikstra

Djikstra will become ruler of the North if Geralt assisted in the assassination of Radovid V
during the missions A Deadly Plot and Reason of State, then sided with Sigismund instead of
Roche.

After the assassination of Radovid, Djikstra rose to power concealed in shadow - finally stepping
out into the light once the war against the invaders had been won.
While his reign was prosperous, his focus on industrialization on consolidating power greatly
resembled that of the Nilfgaardian invaders, to the dismay of many of his new subjects.
Emhry var Emries

This ending occurs if Geralt completed the quests A Deadly Plot and Reason of State,
assassinating Radovid V and then siding with Vernon Roche.

With Radovid gone from power, his armies lost their best tactician. Without the strategic
guidance of their king, the Redaian forces allowed Nilfgaard to overtake their lands.
However, thanks to the consisten efforts of Vernon Roche and the remenants of his Blue Stripes
commandos, Emhyr var Emries was unwilling to keep losing assets to the guerrilla attacks, and
agreed to restore the lands formerly known as Temeria.
The Leader of the Skellige Isles
There are three possible rulers of the Skellige Isles at the conclusion of The Witcher 3.
Svanrige Bran

If Geralt ignores the secondary quests Clan an Craite and King's Gambit, the young ruler of
Skellige will hold onto his power and dismantle all of the individual fiefdoms in favor of a
centralized govering force. This is done through bloody conquest above all else, and many
citizens are put to the sword in the name of progress.
Hjalmar an Craite

If Geralt completes the Clan an Craite side quests, then sided with Hjalmar during King's
Gambit, then the people of Skellige will continue raiding with mainland's coast. Ever spring,
Hjalmar's crews will fight and die with Nilfgaard's soldiers.
Cerys an Craite
If Geralt completes the Clan an Craite side quests, then sided with Cerys during King's
Gambit, Skellige will see newfound peace and prosperity under the rule of Cerys an Craite. She
rules with purpose and ensures the comfort and safety of her people above all else. Skellige's
feared coastal raids will stop, however - and it's something that either the Northern Realms or
Nilfgaard might ponder on.

This page contains a guide for the romance options and sex scenes available in The Witcher 3:
Wild Hunt. Here are all of the women that Geralt can romance during his quest, as well as a
brief walkthrough of each mission he must complete in order to unlock these carnal interactions.

Throughout the course of his adventure, Geralt will encounter characters that he can romance -
and who will attempt to romance him. While both Yennefer and Triss may be his one-time
lovers, their intentions are unknown - and there are plenty of other fish in the sea.

Towards the end of the Blood and Wine storyline, Geralt will receive a proposition from Syrana
during the quest Beyond Hill and Dale.
After climbing the bean stalk and defeating the Giant in the clouds, Syanna will proposition
Geralt to fulfil her "last wish." Despite her traitorous nature, there is no ulterior motive in play
here, and no consequence to selecting the action option, "Let her have her way with you."
Hearts of Stone Romance

During his quest in the Hearts of Stone expansion, Geralt can romance his old acquaintance
Shani after attending a wedding feast.

MAIN CHARACTER ROMANCES

Triss Merigold Yennefer of Vengerberg

Players looking to ride the love train from the onset of the game will find themselves at the start
of a lengthy and tedious road - they must first reach Velen and complete several story missions
before being introduced to Keira Metz (their first character whom they are able to romance) or
his old flame Triss Merigold. If Geralt is looking for a less personal fling, they will also need to
acquire a Letter of Safe Conduct that will allow them passage into Novigrad where they can seek
the comforts of a brothel.
Keira Metz

4:05
After completing the main story quests Hunting a Witch and Wandering in the Dark, Keira Metz
will invite Geralt to her home. If he accepts the invitation, he will need to complete the quest A
Towerful of Mice, helping her lift a curse on a nearby island. After this quest is finished, she will
ask for one last Favor for a Friend. If the Witcher agrees to help track down her missing parcels -
which turn out to be ingredients for a fanciful meal - Keira will invite Geralt to join her for an
enchanted moonlit feast.

At the end of the meal, Keira propositions Geralt to become "friends... with benefits." Players
can either accept her offer, or politely decline.
Triss Merigold

Throughout the previous Witcher games, Geralt's main love interest has been Triss Merigold.
Time and again he has saved her from peril, and she's returned the favor in kind. She even helped
the Witcher recover his lost memories, which proved difficult for their relationship when Geralt
regained his feelings for his former lover Yennefer. Geralt and Triss reunite in the city of
Novigrad during the Witcher's hunt for his ward Ciri.

After completing the main story quest Count Reuven's Treasure, Triss will ask Geralt to meet her
at her hideout in Novigrad. When he arrives, she requests his aid in trafficking an endangered
mage out of the city for the side quest A Matter of Life and Death.

If he agrees to help, the two will have to attend a gala event at a nearby estate - while they wait
to meet their contact, Geralt has the option to romance Triss. Before things get too heated,
however, the two are interrupted - though their tryst is far from over.

6:50
Later, at the end of the side quest Now or Never - where Geralt aids Triss and her fellow mages
in their escape from Novigrad - Triss is resolved to leave for Kovir with the other sorcerers.
Geralt can ask her to stay, telling her that they can try to make their relationship work, or he can
truly pour his heart out and tell her that he loves her.
This section requires a very specific series of conversation choices.
Option 01

If, upon arriving at the port, Geralt decides to fully confess his love for Triss, he must make the
following responses:
To Sigimund (before the Witch Hunter attack):
"Stay out of other people's affairs."
To Triss (As she's about to board the ship):
"Stay with me"
"I love you"
Agree to listen to Sigimund's love story.
Triss will be revealed to have stayed on the docks, interrupting the tale.
Option 02

If, instead, he wants to leave the door open to love (but doesn't want to fully commit), he must
make the following dialogue choices:
To Sigimund (before the Witch Hunter attack):
"What the hell're you talking about"
To Triss (As she's about to board the ship):
"Stay with me"
"Let's try again."
Chastise Sigimund instead of listening to his story.
Triss will be revealed to have stayed on the docks, interrupting the tale.
Triss's Ending

If, during the missions A Matter of Life and Death and Now or Never, Geralt romances Triss
and asks her to stay with him and avoids romancing Yennefer later in the game, he will end his
story with Triss. The couple move north to Kovir, where Merigold earns a handsome living as an
advisor to the king, and Geralt takes on the occasional Witcher Contract to keep his skills honed.
(Note that if Geralt tells says "Let's try again," to Triss on the docks in Novigrad and then
romances Yennefer, he will end up with Yenn at the end of the game.)
Yennefer

Geralt and Yennefer may tryst twice...once during The King is Dead - Long Live the King, and
again during No Place Like Home.

Geralt can initiate another encounter with Yennefer again during her side quest The Last Wish.
If, after capturing and freeing the Djinn, Geralt decides he still has feelings for the sorceress, he
can tell her so and the two will share a romantic moment atop the mountain.
If you've become involved with Yennefer this way, you may have another intimate moment by
speaking with her during No Place Like Home.
Yennefer's Ending

If Geralt avoids romancing Triss Merigold and instead attempts to woo Yennefer during the
mission The Last Wish, the Witcher and the Sorceress will retire together - far from the noise
and danger of politics and adventure.
(Note this also occurs if Geralt gets Triss to stay on the docks in Novigrad by saying "Let's try
again," instead of "I love you.")
Romance both Triss and Yennefer

If you attempt to equally romance both Triss and Yennefer throughout the game you will
lose both.Later in the game, after helping Triss and Yennefer in Novigrad before the search for
the Sunstone they will attempt to seduce Geralt together, suggesting he can have both of them.
Instead they leave Geralt at the Kingfisher Inn alone and chained to a bed naked, and Dandelion
has to rescue him.
Any further conversation with Yennefer or Triss on the subject of romance will end with them
simply saying that they want nothing to do with you in that area, and their futures do not
include Geralt of Rivia. You will have failed both romances if you attempt both at the same time.
This is possibly a parody of Mass Effect 1, where male Shepard can romance Ashley and Liara
equally and instead of being angry at him they simply ask him to choose one of them. The
Witcher 3 is obviously not as forgiving.
Brothels

If Geralt decides he absolutely needs to spend a night away from the road in a friendly bed, he
can throw away a bit of coin and pride in one of the brothels in Novigrad.

Jutta An Dimun

During the Iron Maiden subquest, Geralt may romance the lovely swordswoman Jutta. To
engage in a romantic encounter with her, simply beat her in hand-to-hand combat and then
follow up with a visit.
Madame Sasha
In exchange for taking part in a Gwent tourney, Geralt may spend a night of passion with
Madame Sasha. To romance her, he must enter the card tournament in the High Stakes quest and
either beat her or agree to help her. Afterwards she will ask you to dinner and you simply agree.
