METER CALIBRATION SCOPE OF WORK

1.0 INTRODUCTION & DEFINITIONS


1.1 Introduction
1.1.1 PETRONAS Chemicals Fertilisers Kedah Sdn Bhd (herein referred as PCFK)
intends to appoint a competent CONTRACTOR to perform calibration and repair
(where applicable) for meter and/or tools as specified in Section 3.0.

1.2 Definitions
1.2.1 OWNER
PCFK as the owner of the plant.

1.2.2 CONTRACTOR
CONTRACTOR who shall be responsible to provide calibration services as defined
in this document and other provisions stipulated in the CONTRACT.

1.2.3 CONTRACT
The agreement signed between the OWNER and the CONTRACTOR whereby;
the OWNER agrees to award the WORK to the CONTRACTOR and the
CONTRACTOR agrees to undertake the WORK, as per terms and conditions
outlined in the CONTRACT.

1.2.4 WORK
Supply and rental of electrical equipment as specified in the document and other
provision stipulated in the CONTRACT.

1.2.5 SITE
PCFK Sdn. Bhd.

1.2.6 VCS
Valid calibration certificate as per MS ISO/IEC 17025 standards.

2.0 CONTRACTOR SCOPE OF WORK

CONTRACTOR shall perform calibration work for all equipment as specified in Section 3.0

2.1.1 CONTRACTOR shall record every detail of the equipment include serial number, model
number and ensure that received equipment are in good condition before start the
calibration work.
2.1.2 CONTRACTOR shall ensure that all equipment has been calibration with minimum MS
ISO/IEC 17025 standard compliance or any recognized international standard. All calibrated
equipment shall be attached together with the calibration certificate and validity duration.
2.1.3 CONTRACTOR shall record any defect and submit a report & quotation to PCFKSB prior to
any repair work. A written approval from PCFKSB is required to proceed any repair work.
2.1.4 CONTRACTOR shall perform rectification on the equipment upon get approval. The repair
work/equipment shall be warranty by CONTRACTOR for duration of 12 months.
2.1.5 CONTRACTOR shall include all transportation, mobilization & demobilization, and
insurance (if required) in the scope of work.

3.4 Communication facilities

4.0 SCHEDULE AND DURATION

4.1 CONTRACTOR shall provide calibration schedule for all meter and tools. All meter and tools
shall issue to CONTRACTOR batch by batch, whereby suggested to separate into 7
batches. This is to ease the arrangement of the meter and tools usage.
4.2 Item 1 to item 4 at Section 3.0 will group in 7 group, each group consist of each equipment.
They will be send out one after another for the calibration.
5.0 OBLIGATION OF CONTRACTOR
5.1 CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for all performance of the equipment, observing and
exercising all engineering standard and practices, manufacturer's instructions, and PCFK's
quality procedures, safety and health of all personnel directly or indirectly involved in the
WORK.

6.0 OBLIGATION OF PCFK


6.1 PCFK Representative
PCFK will be represented by its Electrical executive for necessary liaison with
CONTRACTOR's. PCFK Electrical Executive or his appointed representative will be in
attendance for necessary liaison, expediting, inspection and witnessing the testing activity.

6.2 Job Packages (JP) and Work Permit

6.5 CONTRACTOR Performance Report

6.6 Termination of Contract


PCFK has the right to terminate the contract if PCFK identify that the CONTRACTOR’s
performance is below requirement or any other reason which PCFK agreed that it is necessary
for termination.

7.0 HOUSEKEEPING

Not Applicable

8.0 WORK COMPLETION

The CONTRACT shall be accepted as completed when all WORKS described in this CONTRACT
specification has been executed to the satisfaction of PCFK and after which CONTRACTOR will
be issued with the completed calibration certificate.

9.1 All meter and tools, shall return to PCFK with valid calibration certificate.

9.0 PRICE AND PAYMENT

This contract shall be based on non-escalating lump Sum and unit rate basis with provisional rate
for negative or positive variation order, inclusive of all taxes, duties, transportation, handling
charges, insurance and any other related cost required for the completion of the WORK. Bidders
are to quote based on the given schedule of rates in Attachment 2.
