Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Empowerment Technologies


A.Y. 2018-2019

I. Objectives:

A. Content Standards: The learners demonstrate an understanding of the use of


advanced tools and techniques found in common productivity and software
applications in developing ICT content for specific professional tracks.
B. Performance Standards: At the end of the 2-week period independently apply
advanced productivity tools to create or develop ICT content for use in specific
professional tracks
These may be in the form of but not limited to:
1. Calculating spread sheet of athletic statistics (Sports)
2. Layout of catalogue of creative works (Arts)
3. Materials/ingredients projections for batches of baked goods (Tech- Voc)
4. Letterhead/ business card design (Business/ Academic)
C. Learning Competencies: CS_ICT11/12-ICTPT-Ic-d-5
The learners create an original or derivative ICT content to effectively
communicate or present data or information related to specific professional
tracks.

At the end of the session, the learners must be able to:


1. identify the different animation and transition which can be used in
creating a presentation;
2. apply and use the different animation and transition in a presentation.
3. appreciate the importance and benefits in using animation and transition
in their life.

II. Subject Matter:


A. Topic: Custom Animation and Timing and Transition
B. Learning Resources: Computer, Google Drive, MS PowerPoint Application
C. Reference: Internet

III. Procedures
1. Daily Routines:
- Greetings
- Classrooms Management
- Checking of Attendance
- Review

A. Activity:
Have the learners watch a 5-minute video clip about a sample Power
Point presentation which contains various animations and transitions.

B. Analysis:
Ask the learners the following guide questions:
1. What have you observed in the shown presentation?
2. Why is it important to use animation and transition in a presentation?
3. What do you think are the different categories for animation that you can
use in a presentation? the different of transitions?
4. If you were tasked to do a PowerPoint presentation for a reporting, what kind
of animation and transition you will be using? And why?

C. Abstraction:
- Learners’ answers will serve as the springboard to start the discussion

- The teacher will demonstrate on how to add animation and transition in


PowerPoint. In addition to this topic, the teacher will also demonstrate on
how to use custom animation. Simultaneously, the students will also
perform the procedure during the demonstration to make sure that the
student can follow on the discussion.

D. Application:

Using computer available in the laboratory, the learners will open their
PowerPoint file from the last activity of last session. The teacher will instruct
the students to apply the learning (Animation and Transition) that they have
learned from the session.

(Note: Teacher assists the learners in using the computer.)

The teacher asks the learners before he ends up the session;


 How do you find the activity? Which is better? With animation and
transition or without? Why?
 How do you think using different transitions and animations in PPT
presentation will become a big help in your future?

E. Assessment:

Teacher checks the learners’ output with the help of the rubric shown below:

IV. Assignment

Make a research about the process on how to create a hyperlink in PowerPoint


presentation.
