 INTRODUCTION
It was a time in 2015 I went for a movie named CHAPPiE.
before going to movie I didn't even watched the trailer I just
saw the poster and I thought that it will be a comedy movie
or something coz the title looks funny to me.
I think they were the life changing 2 hours of my life because
a movie about robot who can think and have consciousness,
later he made consciousness by himself and transfer it to
another robot it was awesome concept.
I went out and I had thought that it is possible or not I
accessed the web and I found out the solution and I got
surprised because it is possible.I found out what humans can
do with computer system to make this world a better place.
Computer is just not made for to play games, listen songs,
watch movies or do a code to print sum of two numbers it is
more than that. Ever had a thought that computer will do
your homework, ride you to your destination. Computer
which will listen, respond to your concerns and preferences
and give you information you want. And many more like this
the things which you have dreamt of can be possible using
artificial intelligence.

 DEFINITION
Question comes out what is artificial intelligence?
It is a study to make computer think using algorithms also
called as Algorithmic Intelligence.
Artificial intelligence is hard to define, it is a manmade
machine with our intellectual abilities or it is a process
 making machines capable of performing intelligent tasks like
human beings.

 HISTORY
Everything which is built or made was first just an idea.
“Computer can think” this is the idea given by Alan Turing
sir. John McCarthy was the one who believed that it can
happen and started working on it and tagged as father of AI.
According to john McCarthy,
"The science and engineering of making intelligent
machines." There is lot to discuss about history of AI.

 CONCEPT OF AI
The age of AI is upon us, we must know what we can do with AI.
People often get confused with thing that AI is a robot but it is not, AI
is brain which learns things through neural networks just like a
human brain, we all know how our brain works or u will know if u
have one, just kidding..!
The real challenge of AI is to understand how natural intelligence
works?
Developing AI isn't like building an artificial heart -- scientists don't
have a simple, concrete model to work from. We do know that the
brain contains billions and billions of neurons, and that we think and
learn by establishing electrical connections between different neurons.
But we don't know exactly how all of these connections add up to
higher reasoning, or even low-level operations. The complex circuitry
seems incomprehensible. Because of this, AI research is largely
theoretical. The current boom in all things AI was catalyzed by
breakthroughs in an area known as machine learning.
 AI is not just a word, it is the world, the artificial world, the world
which is far better than the real world. AI feels like kind of scary,
uncertain, futuristic thing, but it’s not. It’s right here today and many
of us are already benefiting from it without even knowing it.
AI is no longer the realm of science fiction. Chatbots that converse
with you in Yahoo, Facebook and other sites use AI. Alibaba
harnesses deep learning to find a handbag matching the one in the
photo you uploaded to its shopping site. Digital assistants like Siri,
Alexa, Cortana and Google Assistant use AI to provide information or
execute tasks.

 What does AI consists of?

Artificial Intelligence consists of 4 important fields

AI or Artificial Intelligence – Building systems that can do
intelligent things.

NLP or Natural Language Processing – Building systems

that can understand language. It is a subset of Artificial
Intelligence.

ML or Machine Learning – Building systems that can learn

from experience. It is also a subset of Artificial Intelligence.

NN or Neural Network – Biologically inspired network of

Artificial Neurons.

DL or Deep Learning – Building systems that use Deep

Neural Network on a large set of data. It is a subset of
Machine Learning.
 TYPES OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
ANI – Artificial Narrow Intelligence – It comprises of basic/role
tasks such as those performed by chatbots, personal assistants
like SIRI by Apple and Alexa by Amazon.

AGI – Artificial General Intelligence – Artificial General

Intelligence comprises of human-level tasks such as performed by
self-driving cars by Uber, Autopilot by Tesla. It involves continual
learning by the machines.

ASI – Artificial Super Intelligence – Artificial Super Intelligence

refers to intelligence way smarter than humans. Not yet built.

 Applications:
Expert Systems:

There are a few applications which incorporate machine,

programming, and some special data to confer thinking and
prompting. They give clarification and exhortation to the users.

Vision Systems:

These type of systems are able to understand, interpret and grasp

visual input on computer.

Ex: A spying plane or drone takes pictures, which are utilized to make
sense of spatial data or guide of the zones and areas.

Gaming:

It plays an important role in strategic games like chess, tic tac toe etc.
Here the machine should be able to think of multiple possible steps
based on heuristic knowledge.

Speech Recognition:

You will find some systems which are able to understand the language
which is used by humans and talk to them. They can even understand
the slang, background noise, accent etc.

Handwriting Recognition:

This special software will be able to read the text written either by a
pen or stylus on page or screen respectively. It also understands the
letter shapes and will convert it into editable text.

Intelligent Robots:

Robots are one of the best creation by humans. They can do multiple
tasks within no time. Though they cannot be alternate to humans, but
are very efficient when doing any tasks.
 Natural Language Processing:

Able to communicate with the computers that understands human

used natural language. They are comprised of sensors which detects
few physical data like light, heat, temperature, movement, pressure
etc. just like humans. They also possess good processors and huge
memory.

The best part about these systems is that they are adaptable to the
environment around them.

 Pros and Cons of AI:

Is it a boon or a bane to future of human existence?

Daily advancements of AI will benefit us or not, is still a question.

We will discuss about Advantages and Disadvantages of AI, it might

clear the doubts.

Advantages:

1. Error reduction:
 Artificial intelligence helps us in reducing the error and the chance of
reaching accuracy with a greater degree of precision is a possibility. It is
applied in various studies such as exploration of space.

2. Difficult exploration:

Artificial intelligence and the science of robotics can be put to use in

mining and other fuel exploration processes. Not only that, these
complex machines can be used for exploring the ocean floor and hence
overcoming the human limitations.

3. Daily application

Computed methods for automated reasoning, learning and perception

have become a common phenomenon in our everyday lives. We have
our lady Siri or Cortana to help us out.

4. Repetitive jobs

Repetitive jobs which are monotonous in nature can be carried out

with the help of machine intelligence. Machines think faster than
humans and can be put to multi-tasking. Machine intelligence can be
employed to carry out dangerous tasks. Their parameters, unlike
humans, can be adjusted. Their speed and time are calculation based
parameters only.

5. Medical applications

In the medical field also, we will find the wide application of AI.
Doctors assess the patients and their health risks with the help of
artificial machine intelligence. It educates them about the side effects
of various medicines. Medical professionals are often trained with the
artificial surgery simulators. It finds a huge application in detecting
and monitoring neurological disorders as it can simulate the brain
functions.
 Disadvantages:

1. High cost

Creation of artificial intelligence requires huge costs as they are very

complex machines. Their repair and maintenance require huge costs.

2. No replicating humans

Intelligence is believed to be a gift of nature. An ethical argument

continues, whether human intelligence is to be replicated or not.

3. No improvement with experience

Unlike humans, artificial intelligence cannot be improved with

experience. With time, it can lead to wear and tear. It stores a lot of
data but the way it can be accessed and used is very different from
human intelligence.

4. No creativity and imagination

These are not the forte of artificial intelligence. While they can help
you design and create, they are no match for the power of thinking
that the human brain has or even the originality of a creative mind.

5. Unemployment

Replacement of humans with machines can lead to the large scale of

unemployment. Unemployment is a socially undesirable phenomenon.
People with nothing to do can lead to the destructive use of their
creative minds.

Artificial intelligence in wrong hands is a serious threat to mankind in

general. It may lead to mass destruction. Also, there is a constant fear
of machines taking over or superseding the humans.
To overcome this problem there must be two groups one to develop
and advance the science of artificial intelligence and second to
promote and educate about the risk and prevention of artificial
intelligence.

It means there are tons of opportunities in this field, I think the

world’s first trillionaires are going to come from somebody who
masters AI and all its derivatives and applies it in ways we never
thought of.

Think about the future Prime minister or President of the country will
be fully automated AI, then there is not any chance of getting biased
which will lead to fully transparent politics.

The AI who can teach, who knows everything but the better life
lessons will be given by human teachers. It shows the contradiction

Long ago it was said that the humans are most intelligent species and
this are humans who are making AI better. No matter how much the
AI is gonna develop still humans will remain the most intelligent
species on earth.

Just ask yourself am I ready for AI? Ready to make it and control it.
