Team : RAFT CIF (Real Time Automated Fund Transfer System)
RAFT is Mainframe based Application for fund movement in core banking system. It maintains latest account details of
Customer, Cross Connections between different account types, Contains and manages all transactional details in past
with an account, Creates and Maintains Customers Authorization and Contact information, Interfaces with number of
applications that impacts customers monetary.
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Worked as Senior Developer for Application Development and Maintenance in Banking Domain for U.S based Bank
which involves Payment/Card services from TSYS, Vantiv (Now WorldPay) and MasterCard.
 Involved in Requirement Analysis, Functional Design, Technical Design, Coding, Review and Deployment Activities.
 Written and modified Assembler, COBOL-DB2, SAS, JCL programs for projects, defects and production issues.

Key Projects

1. Overdraft Protection Enrolment:


This project is targeted to Enrolment, Information and Update of customers to Overdraft Protection service. These are
implemented as online services in Mainframe applications that can be invoked by front-end applications.

2. Account Migration from VSAM to DB2


As part of legacy applications modernization project, move selected types of accounts from VSAM based proprietary
database to DB2 tables and redesign the Online and Batch programs and jobs to access DB2 tables instead of VSAM
database.
3. Apple Pay Enablement:
The new Batch system receives Apple Pay enrollment requests from the customers and validates them. Upon successful
validation, Card is enabled for Apple Pay transactions and is synced up with the service provider for authorization.
Customers are notified with Text messages, Emails and letters for the updates.

4. EMV Chip Card Readiness :


EMV Chip Card Readiness project is targeted to adept newly introduced EMV Chip Based cards in existing system which
supports only Magnetic Stripe Cards. EMV cards are having some different data fields than the Magnetic Stripe cards.

2. BMC SOFTWARE
BMC Software leading Product Company that offers multiple innovative and modern products for Mainframes, IT Service
Management, Cloud Computing and Digital Enterprise Management.

Role - Staff Product Developer : IMS Products.


Product - Energizer for IMS Connect.

Energizer for IMS Connect is an intelligent IMS Transaction Management solution that routes transactions, balances
workloads, and can reduce outages by up to 25%, potentially saving millions of dollars for a company each year. With
Energizer, you can tailor how IMS Connect operates in your environment, and dynamically manage aspects of your IMS
Connect environment without recycling IMS Connect.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 Proposed & developed multiple, customer friendly new features in the IMS TM Product – Energizer for IMS Connect.
 Analysed customer’s feedbacks and requests and adopted in new enhancements in subsequent versions.
 Added features like Automatic Transaction Routing based on client IP Address, Trusted Port support, 64-bit memory
management using chains, Transaction Trace Enhancements, Filter with wild characters on Batch Reporting, Auto-
Cancelling inactive clients (in progress) etc.
 Worked on enhancing transaction routing & load balancing abilities of the product based on certain information in
Transaction Message header.
 Upgraded product to next level to support newly released IMS 15.0 version along with multiple Enhancement
Requests (RFE) and defect fixes.

Key Technologies and Tools: Assembler, REXX, ISPF Panels, DTL, JCL, IMS, IMS Connect, System Control Blocks,
Debugging, Dump Analysis, Assembler MVS Services, Storage Management.

1. TRACE Enhancement and Reformat for IMS Connect :


Included multiple new control blocks and few new fields from IMS Connect, OTMA into the Transaction Trace entries.
Data from Trace is reformatted and presented in readable format on ISPF panel to the end users.

2. Transaction Routing based on IP Address:


Added feature in the product that routes the incoming IMS transactions to the specific Datastor depending upon the
client IP address. Provision to define IP address based routing rule is provided using ISPF panel.

3. De-activate in-active/idle clients :


Identify idle or in-active clients in the IMS Connect using the pre-defined criteria periodically and de-activate them to
increase the capabilities of IMS Connect and CPU saving. (In progress)

4. Batch Reporting using ISPF screens:


Designed and developed ISPF user interface for Journal Reporting where multiple filters can be entered and validated
before generating the report against Transaction Trace in journal files for more analysis.
3. AMDOCS INDIA LTD

SOCS is suite of applications that contains around 6 applications which are responsible for the collection, storage, and
distribution of service orders to all user departments, including service order-driven mechanized systems. SOCS is an
online system used by many departments to process service orders.

Roles and Responsibilities:


 Around 2.5 years of experience in Application Development, Maintenance and Support in Telecom.
 Involved in preparation of Technical Requirements Document, Application Interface Document for complex and
medium complex projects.
 Undertaken project to migrate file transfer mode from.
 Worked extensively on Complex projects, Enhancement Requests, Defects, Support requests, RDs etc.
 Performed day to day maintenance and monitoring activities of Batch and Online application.
 Developed Automation Tools using REXX for reducing the routine manual work of the application.

1. Service Order Communication System (SOCS) and Service Order Interface (SOI) :
SOCS and SOI are the online system that validates and reformats the incoming service order messages from front-end
applications and depending upon the incoming message, accesses required data from DB2 tables. Qualifying messages
are then distributed to downstream applications over different communication channels in customized formats.
