MagCloud users deserve larger form factor products and we are happy to offer not just one but seven
large product types.

Tabloid Product Family

At 11″ x 14″ trim size Small Tabloid is smaller than a standard newspaper but larger than our Standard
le er-size product. Our Large Tabloid product has a 17″ x 11″ trim size offering more room for images
and content. All Tabloid products are published on premium cover stock, have Wire-O Binding, and are
ideal for large format portfolios, custom calendars, manuals and more.

Small Tabloid: 11″ x 14″ and 14″ x 11″ trim size options
Large Tabloid: 17″ x 11″ trim size
$0.36 per page with full color printing
8 to 90 pages in length in multiples of 2
$2.00 per copy for durable Wire-O Binding

Poster Product Family

Our full-color, double-sided Poster are printed on premium cover stock and come standard with UV
coating giving them an extra sheen and making them more durable. Posters are ideal for promotions and
special event keepsakes such as gallery exhibits, music festivals and fundraisers.

Available in 12″ x 18″ or 18″ x 12″ trim sizes

Full-color professional printing on 80# premium cover stock paper
Standard UV Coating front and back for increased durability
Each individual Poster is only $2 to print ($1.50 for orders of 20 or more).

Large Square

MagCloud is adding to its Square product family by offering a new large form factor Square product. At
12″ x 12″ trim size, this new product is great for one-of-a-kind portfolios, photo books or training
material.

Available in 12″ x 12″ trim size

Durable Wire-O Binding
80# premium cover stock
8 to 90 pages in multiples of 2
$0.36 per page with full color printing
$2.00 per copy for Wire-O binding

Standard Landscape

Finally we are also expanding our Standard product line, with the addition of a landscape option.
Measuring 11” x 8.5” and also using Wire-O Binding and premium #80 cover stock paper, this new
product option is useful for portfolios, magazines, booklets, catalogs and more.

Are the new non-poster sizes available with perfect binding?

Hi Rich,

The poster products are just a single sheet (2 sides) so there is no binding on them. The new
Tabloid products are only available with Wire-O Binding at this time.

Would love to see the new sizes with your other binding options instead. But I assume that’s not
doable because you can’t run them on a big enough sheet? Wire-o doesn’t seem appropriate for a
“publication”. But I could still see using it for something!

I am lovin’ this- the quality and pricing at MagCloud smokes the ‘traditional’ print-on-demand
merchandise firms so I will be switching all my wall calendars over now that MC has the larger size
and (most importantly) wire-o binding.

My enthusiasm dissipated when I confirmed that most of the Wire-O sizes are bound on the short
side…. totally useless for industry-standard wall calendars. I hope that changes so I can move my
calendar biz here.

Thank you for the feedback. You probably noticed that our Small Tabloid product can be
bound on the long side and of course there is our Large Square product. We will definitely take
your feedback into consideration for future product enhancements.

I 100% agree with Brian. Please add option of wire binding on long side of standard size
publications. This would be more in line with “flip chart” type products which I offer.

Another request for adding the binding on the long side for calendars. I’m sure the 12×12 and
14×11 sizes work great, but that creates hassles with pricing and shipping (not mention
converting images over for the larger sizes). Would love to see this work with the standard
size!

I think perfect binding would be the way to go with these products. Wire-o…tired-o…otherwise I
think it’s great magcloud is doing larger products. I still think an uncoated paper would be a great
addition to the MC portfolio. These printers do such an awesome job on uncoated stock.

refuse. MagCloud continues to impress and put quality into every job, know ma er the size, and as

Finished trim size on our magazines is 9 1/8 x 11. Are you able to trim to this size now that you offer
the small tabloid size?

Hi Denise,

At this point we have set sizes that we can trim to, so no, we are not able to trim to your 9.125″ x
11″ size. With that said, we do offer an automatic resizing function for PDFs that are within 10% of
one of our trim sizes, so you might try uploading your PDF to see if it can be automatically
resized by our system to our 8.25″ x 10.75″ trim size. Depending on the dimensions of your
untrimmed PDF, it sounds like you might be just inside the 10% limit.

You could get a lot more business if you offered perfect binding on these new larger sizes. FYI, my
other printer for larger [art] paperbacks, EditionOne in Berkeley, informed me today that they will no
longer offer their larger format paperbacks because they have issues with the covers. Here’s a chance
to pick up that business.

Like many of the other comments here, I too would love to see you offer Perfect Binding along with
your new Wire-O options. This should certainly be possible with the new HP Indigos which print on
sheets large enough to do a full cover. As many others have said, Wire-O is great for calendars,
manuals, menus and the like — but it’s not at all appropriate for magazines or books where the
quality difference between saddle-stitch and perfect bound makes a noticeable and qualitative
difference. So…are you planning to offer perfect binding in these larger formats sometime soon?

Being a long-time MagCloud publisher, I’m really stoked with the new larger sizes! But…

Unfortunately, wire-o binding would put a “I just came from the local copy shop” feeling on my
photo journal publications. I could go with saddle-stitch and perfect binding, but wire-o is a deal
killer for me. Looking forward to seeing more binding options!

As long as you upload your poster to the MagCloud-Ready specs our system will know it’s a
poster you don’t have to do anything to select that.

Offering Perfect and Saddle Stitch Binding for large format products requires larger paper sizes.
This is definitely on our radar for the new HP Indigo presses which have been announced but are
not yet in production.

I would like to know if I can keep accurate track of who purchase from a specific organization.
example: Jane from the Church of Christ! John from the Church of God! Is there anywhere they can
specifically state the organization they are from while shipping to there own address?

There is a Company field so either via the MagCloud address book or when you are entering the
address to ship to just include the business or organization in the Company Name field and that
will be included on the shipping order.

Why is 8×8 and 12×12 limited to wired binding? I want to start using magcloud for magazine-like
pieces, but I cannot stand wire binding. This is the first I learned about Lr4 limits to size formats too!

Hi Brian,

The Small Square product (8 x 8) is available in Saddle Stitch or Perfect Binding depending on
your page count. Our Large Square product (12 x 12) is currently only available with Wire-O
Binding. As new printing presses become available we hope to offer different binding options for
the large form factor products.

Questions on poster tried to upload a test and learned pdf has to be two pages. Can I print on both
sides? Does magcloud put a barcode on the poster or the back??

Hi Todd,

Yes a poster is two pages (front and back). You can choose to print on the back or leave it blank.
Yes we have a small (6mm square) barcode on the back side right corner. The barcode is required
so we can track your order throughout the print process.

The size of the PDF you upload would need to be 11.25″ x 14.25″ with a trim size of 11 x 14 and
safe zone of 10.25″ x 13.5″. For more details check out our specs on our Ge ing Started Page.

Just to add to the above comments.. Any chance we could get 12×12 bound any other way than
spiral?? The crossover with wedding albums would be a boon for both of us! :)

I absolutely love the way that my 11 x 14 calendars are coming out! My clients are pleased as well.
However two small things would make them perfect.
1. It has already been mentioned, but an option for a hole for wall hanging would be much
appreciated.
2. Might it be possible as well to have an option to rotate the online preview 90 degrees so calendar
projects could be viewed normally? Several potential customers have complained about being forced
to view them sideways.

I’d like to add my voice to those who have already raised this issue: I am a photographer and would
like to use your new products sizes for larger portfolio and leave-behind pieces. However, the spiral
binding is a deal-breaker. Too much cheap local copy shop associations! Please bring us other binding

Hi John, absolutely! Magcloud is now a part of the Blurb family. We’ll be updating the blog more
soon so stay tuned for some great new posts.
Currently the large Tabloid format can only be made with the Wire-O spiral binding.
I’d love to hear what you’re planning on creating in the Tabloid format and why the perfect
binding would be preferable.
