Language Focus
Give each student a copy of the worksheet.
Film genres
Film vocabulary Go through the vocabulary on the worksheet and check the students
understand the language.
Aim Tell the students to think of a film that they enjoyed watching for
each type of genre.
To learn about different
types of film genre and The students then write the names of the films in the 'Film Title'
then to discuss and column. The film titles can be foreign or English.

Students then discuss the films they like and recommend two of

A. Think of a film that you like for each type of genre. Write the names of the films in the 'Film
Title' column.

B. In pairs, discuss the films you like from the different genres using the language below. Then,
recommend two film titles from the chart above to your partner.
