Reaction Paper: Electrical Engineering Plant Tour

The Plant Tour conducted last Jan. 28, 29, 30, 2014

Nuclear Power Plant, Coal Power Plant (APEC), Malaya Thermal Power Plant, CBK-Limited
Hydroelectric Power Plant, Makban Geothermal Power Plant, G.E Philippines Meter and
Instruments.

This was our Plant Tour all 5th yr. Electrical Students.

Our first destination is the Bataan Nuclear Power Plant in Morong, when we were already got
there we were so excited to go around on the power plant but we use to go to the restroom
first. After they inform us to listen their short presentation about the plant to give some
information before we go inside the Power Plant.

Bataan Nuclear Power Plant is a nuclear power plant, completed but never fueled, Reactors
operational, 0 MW. Reactors under construction, 0 MW because they afraid by the radiation he
project was criticized for being a potential threat to public health, especially since the plant was
located in an earthquake zone, and because a volcano formation was found near the location of
the plant. Found by the Anti-nuclear movement in the Philippines

The Plant not being operated 35 years ago up to now the reactor is good in condition and ready
to operate the facilities is ok the generator the unit 1 is standby but they afraid to operate it if
they operate the plant our electricity would be much cheaper we lessen more power
interruptions.

After we go inside of the plant we take some pictures around the view is very nice we take few
minutes to take some pictures. After that we go to our next spot the APEC.
