Automatic chair movement during treatment center self-test

When the treatment center is switched on, the lifting drive briefly moves
the chair up and down as part of a self-test.
The lifting drive performs this self-test when the treatment center is
switched on under the following circumstances:
- When it is switched on for the first time
- If there has been no chair movement within the past 6 hours
- If no safety switch is active

IMPORTANT
Treatment center self-test not fully completed

båÖäáëÜ
If any safety switches are active when the treatment center is switched
on, the self-test is not completed.
➢ Eliminate the cause, for example: Swivel the cuspidor toward the
water unit.

Explanation
Lifting motor self-test/Technician

If there has been no chair movement within the past 6 hours, a brief self-
test is performed when the treatment center is switched on to check the
movement of the chair.

Exceptions

The treatment center does not perform a self-test under the following
circumstances:
● The treatment center is in test mode.
● An incompatible lifting drive has been connected.
● No dentist element has been connected (e.g. installation of chair
base).
● The DAB board in the dentist element is not detected by the system.
● A safety switch is active (e.g. cuspidor retracted).

6.3.2 DAB board – Dentist element control

IMPORTANT
There are two versions of this board. In the case of the TS dentist
element, a jumper is connected (JUMP1 causes the holder recognition
sequence to be reversed) and the first photoelectric barrier is extended.
In the case of the CS dentist element, there is no jumper and the
photoelectric barrier is not extended. This is necessary because of the
different board installation positions in the dentist element versions.

7 Replacing components

7.1 General:
NOTICE
Disconnecting a component from the chair
A large volume of water can escape from the connections when
disconnecting a component.
➢ Drain the disinfectant tank (see Disinfectant tank [ → 119]) and the
mixing tank (see Mixing tank [ → 118]).
➢ Before disconnecting the dentist element, assistant element, or
water unit from the chair, switch the treatment center off at the main
switch.

NOTICE
Modules that carry water and air may still be pressurized after switching
off the treatment center.
➢ The pressure of the lines can be relieved by unscrewing the water
and air filters. The filters can be accessed via the maintenance flap
of the water unit.

IMPORTANT
When refitting the foot switch or BOF variant, resetting to factory
settings is a must!

and buttons.
The LEDs and function pads can be used to analyze the error to see if it
is located at the input circuit, at the output circuit, or on the board.

IMPORTANT
Operation of the function pad

Operation of function pads

The relevant function is actuated by jumpering the function pad.
➢ Use a slotted screwdriver to jumper the function pads. Please be
aware that the tip of the screwdriver is conductive.

båÖäáëÜ
9.2 LED concept
Service LED types

LEDs are used on all the boards to indicate the supply voltage, the board
status, the activated actuators, the incoming sensor signals, and defined
switch inputs.
Green LEDs:
● Light up continuously during normal operation
● Flash by emitting specific flashing codes in the case of multiple use

Red LEDs:
● Light up in the event of a error or safety-related incident
● Flash by emitting specific flashing codes (error codes) in the case of
multiple use

Yellow LEDs:
● Light up when an actuator is activated, a sensor is triggered, or a
switch is actuated.
● Flash at a certain flash frequency to indicate particular operating
situations
Red error LED in conjunction with yellow solenoid valve LEDs
● Red: Light up in the event of a solenoid valve error
● Yellow: Flash by emitting specific flashing codes in the event of a
solenoid valve error

Error display

Errors are indicated by means of flashing codes. The red ERROR LED on
the board provides information about each error. The flashing codes
indicate the possible cause of the error by emitting a certain number of
flashing pulses. There is a pause of one second before the flashing code
is repeated.
In the event of a solenoid valve error, the red ERROR LED indicates a
basic solenoid valve error (ERROR LED lights up continuously). The
yellow status LEDs assigned to the solenoid valves emit a flashing code
to indicate the type of error affecting the solenoid valve concerned (error
codes for short circuit and disruption in the line).
Errors continue to be indicated throughout the entire time they remain
pending. The next time the relevant actuator function is activated without
errors, the associated LED goes out.
As a basic principle, only the error with the highest priority is indicated. If
multiple errors have been detected, they are indicated in order of priority.
Once the error with the highest priority has been corrected, the error with
the next lowest priority is indicated.

Sensor/actuator switch statuses

Switch statuses of selected actuators, sensors, and switches are

indicated via yellow LEDs, which light up (e.g. solenoid valve, water
monitor switched). In addition, flash frequencies are used to indicate
particular operating situations (e.g. instrument removed, instrument
active, amalgam separator 95% full).

9.3 Function pad concept

The function pads simulate the input signal of the relevant function on the
board. If the function pad is jumpered and the function is triggered, you
must search for the error at the input signal.
If the function is not triggered, you must check the output LEDs for the
relevant function. If the output LED for the function linked to the jumpered
function pad lights up, you must look for the error on the board.
Otherwise, the error is located on one of the downstream components.

Examples

● SPRAY function pad on DSA

● S52 function pad (flushing for suction hose cleaning) on DWB
● SS_ALL function pad (jumper safety switch) on DSA

IMPORTANT
DARWIN

Control via SIUCOM plus/SIVISION connect is only possible with the

comfort user interface!

Control of PC programs via the treatment center

SIUCOM plus enables you to control PC applications through the

INTEGO / INTEGO pro Sirona treatment center. The PC functions can be
operated via the user interface of the treatment center (touch screen) or
the system foot control.

Ethernet connection is required

This is achieved through communication of the treatment center with the

PC via the Ethernet interface and the practice network. The function
codes generated by specific operations in the treatment center are
assigned to the desired PC functions in the SIUCOM program. Under
certain circumstances it is therefore possible to start, terminate and
control PC applications.

Third-party programs can also be controlled in this manner

The SIUCOM plus PC program provides the Sirona SIUCOM plus

interface for operating functions inside PC programs of other
manufacturers.
The operating functions provided by the manufacturer of the SIUCOM
plus-capable PC application can thus be triggered from the treatment
center.
