CLAUDE MONET

Claude Monet nació en 1840 en París, fue un pintor francés, uno de los
creadores del impresionismo.
Una de sus primeras pinturas fue IMPRESION-SOL NACIENTE, que representa
el puerto de Le Havre, ciudad en la que Monet pasó gran parte de su infancia.
en 1860 su situación económica era inestable, no se reconocían sus pinturas,
pero continuó pintando, comenzó a trabajar en el famoso jardín de su casa en
Giverny con estanques que luego usó como motivo para sus pinturas.
Monet logró exhibir sus pinturas en el Salón de París, allí conoció a otros artistas
Pierre-Auguste Renoir y Edgar Degas.
Con los años su visión empeoró y le diagnosticaron cataratas en ambos ojos.
En sus últimos años, Monet destruyó varias de sus pinturas por su cuenta, ya
que no quería que obras sin terminar, bocetos y borradores ingresaran en el
mercado del arte. El 5 de diciembre de 1926, Monet murió en Giverny.
