IV. PROCEDURE
Reviewing Previous Lesson The teacher will call some students to review previous lesson.

Establishing a Purpose for Araling Panlipunan 8 integration
the Lesson The teacher will ask the students to list countries nearby Philippines
based from their previous knowledge.
Processing Questions:
What picture is shown before you?
What continent is shown in the map?
Do countries in the map influenced each other?
What relationship does each country have?
What are the influences of such countries in the Philippines? Can you
give manifestations of these influences?

Presenting The teacher shows the pictures of Philippine folk dances with Asian
Examples/Instances of the influence and asks them to analyze it.

3. Do you think that neighbouring countries have influenced these
dances? If yes, why?
The teacher introduces the topic and explains the concept of
acculturation.

Acculturation – is the process by human being acquires and merges the


culture of a particular society or country.
Discussing New Concepts The teacher will divide the class into four (4) groups and assign them

Group Task:
The group must collect pictures from the Concept Gallery that describes
the folk dance you have studied and present it before the class.

The groups must present the nature of the dance.

Each group will be given 2 points in every correct answer.
