Main aims:

4.2. Redactarea unor mesaje scurte, familiare, pe teme din universul imediat
Lesson aims:
-build sentences with present perfect and with just, already and yet as time
adverbials
-build communicative structures about themselves using present perfect and just,
already and yet as time adverbials
-identify past simple and present perfect situations
-justify choosing present or past simple in a text.
-build a similar dialogue
Methods and materials: textbook, present perfect board poster, worksheets, role
cards
Textbook: Snapshot Pre-intermediate, Longman
Time: 50 minutes
Activity 1: Lead-in :
Time 2 minutes/ Interaction : T-Ss
Aim: setting a warm atmosphere
The teacher check attendance and delivers many introductury utterances
by using question tags such as : “You knew that we are having a special class
today, didn`t you?” , “Your homework was a worksheet wasn`t it?” .

Activity 3: Present Perfect Bingo Games

Aims : -identify present perfect structures
Procedure:
The teacher announces todays` class subject
( Present Perfect Practice with just, already and yet)
Pupils are listening to tapescript “You`re Nicola, aren`t you? “ again, then
they are asked to identify present perfect structures. The teacher displays a board
present perfect poster and elicits its main features : form and meaning. Teacher
and pupils play two types of bingo, with both regular and irregular verbs.

Activity 4:
Exercise 8/page 44 Practice Present Perfect Simple with just/ already/yet.
Time 15 minutes/ Interaction : T-Ss
Aims : -build sentences with present perfect and with just, already and yet as time
adverbials;
-build communicative structures about themselves using present perfect
and just, already and yet as time adverbials
Procedure:
Studentds solve the exercise, then try to personalize the structures with examples
of their own.

Write three things have you done very recently.

Activity 5: Time 12 minutes/ Interaction : T-Ss


Aim: -write down dialogues expressing permission
-work in pairs efficiently
Procedure:

The teacher sets up the class into six groups hands out role cards. She
explains the task:

Write down dialogues using these rolecards. Keep in mind that they should
contain some of the given phrases on the parent`s part.

You are a parent. Your son/ daughter wants to talk to you. You always tell
him /her that they must finish all their homework and do all the chores before
they go out.

You are a teenager. You want to stay out late with your friends tonight.

Pupils write the dialogues in teams of four. They assign each other different
task: looking up for words in the dictionary, checking spelling, writing, dictating,
reading. Team leaders read their dialogues.

Activity 6: Feedback

Time 3 minutes/ Interaction : T-Ss


Aim: -write down dialogues expressing permission
-work in pairs
The teacher asks for a short rewind of what they have worked on this
lesson: past participle bingo games, building sentences with already, just and yet,
building dialogues in pairs.

The teacher assesses the activity orally.


Activity 7: Homework

Time 3 minutes/ Interaction : T-Ss


Aim: -practice present perfect structures
Procedure:
The teacher hands out the sheets for their homework and explains the task.
Students fill in the first two sentences orally.
