Next time you go abroad, do shopping or withdraw cash
from ATM, use your ABBL Visa Debit card. You can use your
AB Bank Visa Debit card at all Visa branded ATMs and Point
of Sales (POS) terminals throughout the world. AB Bank
Visa Debit Card gives you instant access to your local
account whenever you wish to make any purchase or
withdrawal against your travel quota anywhere in the
world. To use the card abroad, endorse your passport at
any ABBL AD Branch.

Eligibility to use the card abroad:

• All ABBL account holders having debit cards
are eligible for this service with no additional
card fees
• Account holder must have an EMV Chip Card
• Debit card must be endorsed in user’s valid
passport at an ABBL AD branch
• Annual Travel Quota limit must be available for
endorsement against this card
• User must be 18 years or older to avail full
Travel Quota limit

Endorsement:
Your card must be endorsed in your passport against the
travel quota for usage abroad. Bangladesh Bank will allow
7000 USD in Non-SAARC and 5000 USD in SAARC countries
and Myanmar in one calendar year. The endorsement amount
only defines the maximum amount you can use against this
card but the corresponding account need not have the
available balance at the time of endorsement. The balance
has to be present only during execution of transactions.

Highest ATM cash withdrawal facility:

There is no holding of fund required for issuing the card. So

cardholders can avail the full amount of their associated
account until exhaustion of the endorsed travel quota
whichever is lower.

Highest purchase limit:

For retail purchases, cardholders can avail the full amount
of their associated account until exhaustion of the
endorsed travel quota whichever is lower.
 No interest related issues:
There are no interest related charges for using the Debit
Card as payments are made directly from cardholder’s
own account.

Monitoring transaction globally:
Transactions done abroad with the Visa Debit Card will
be readily available in the account statement. So a
cardholder can easily monitor and control expenses
through ABBL mobile apps or AB Direct internet banking
service from anywhere in the world. Mobile phone
roaming users will get SMS alert/Notification for all ATM
and POS transactions.
Fees & Charges:
An endorsement fee will be charged:
0.5% of the endorsement amount in equivalent BDT or
BDT 1000 whichever is lower.
A cash withdrawal fee will be charged by ABBL when
card is used in other bank ATMs. Please note, depending
on the policy of the foreign bank, there maybe additional
charges from the foreign bank which is applicable for all
cards including this one.
