"WHOA Nelly!" Can you believe
that one of my shelter waitresses
said that a few days ago? The
worst part is that it was totally
candid and she laughed at herself
forever! She wasn't all wrong
though because that IS my name.
I've always been treated well but
I'm used to having the run of both
the great outdoors and a cozy
couch. My freedom was still
limited because for most of my
4 or 5 years, I've either been
pregnant or raising miniature
beauties like myself. Maybe I
miss motherhood a little, but it's
not fair! Why am I still confined
now that I don't have to worry
about babies? Shelter life
stresses me out, I dream of
being half the wild child I once
was; with a warm lap or plush
surface to laze on but still playful
and a tinge sassy. All I want is to
watch my purrson walk up to my
cage and smile whether I nuzzle
or swat, knowing that I'll melt
once we get home.
The CCC is in need of supplies,
especially litter (Scoop Away),
bleach, laundry detergent, dry
and wet cat and kitten food
(Purina/Friskies), paper towels,
trash bags, and treats! Any
help is very much appreciated!
