At the September planning meeting, Ron Zink announced that he is resigning from the chairmanship of the Sierra Club of Delaware’s Cool Cities program, a position that he has held since March 2007, during which the cities of Dover, Newark and Lewes have endorsed the U.S. Mayors’ Climate Protection Agreement. In his remarks, Mr. Zink commented that “we must give others the chance to lead. We have much talent and this program is most rewarding.” As the Sierra Club embarks on the process for filling this vacancy, Mr. Zink offers his willingness to work with the new chair during the transition.
