India Fashion forum 2019

IFF is the India’s largest fashion retail intelligence event. It was held on 27th and 28th march 2019.
A central mission of IFF 2019 is innovation. It creates multiple opportunities for learning from
international and Indian industry experts, academicians, experienced professionals and analysts
through a world-class mix of panel discussions, CEOs roundtable, presentations, knowledge series
sessions and quiz competition.

On the first day i.e. on 27th the

 First session was the NIFT alumni conclave, in which NIFT alumni which are doing great
in industry talk about “Fashion Intelligence- insights on fashion and lifestyle business”.
 Second session was presentation on “How digital technology is transforming the entire
supply chain” by Joshua Lin.
 Next session was panel discussion and the topic was “Digitization and the future of fashion/
deciphering the new codes of fashion business”. There were various topic became the part
of discussion like digitalization and urgency to transformation, choosing customer,
expansion of malls, tier one, two and three customers, etc.
 Post lunch there were round table discussion among the panel of CEOs and head of
different brands and retail firms like shoppers stop, V-mart, skechers and the topic was
“Building a play book for the customer of the future”. The best part of the discussion was
who the customer of the future is or the future is already here and there was multiple
answers i.e. point of view for the same.
 The next session was panel discussion with topic “Helping customer discovering the right
product – An Al driven approach”. There we learn that the different brand has their
different conversation ideas, online customer experiences and it is very important to
identify the customer behavior online and offline.
On 2nd day i.e. on 28th march

 First session was the presentation on consumer forecast 2020 by Punit Dadeja. He lights
on topic like M-commers, crowd-based capitalism, new consumer voices, etc.
 After the first session there was quiz competition and it became the most interesting part
of that day.
 Then there was panel discussion on Luxury fashion in India”. The panel member discuss
on what is luxury with different point of view and also share their experiences.

Apart from these discussions and presentations there were stalls of various retail brands and firms
e.g. like Bata, Indi, 09, US Cotton, CK, Fila, Soch, Tommy Hilfiger, ONLY, etc. they display their
new ideas and products and make us aware about them.

IFF 2019 was really great exposure for us, we encountered with the CEOs, Heads and personnel
from various firms and MFM students from other NIFT centers, learn a lot about already known
topic and also got knowledge about new topic.
