Classroom Policies
1. Absences. Absences are counted starting with absence from the first day of class for the semester. The students are required
to submit an excuse slip for every absence made. If the students report to class 15 minutes after the bell, he/she will be
marked absent. Allowed number of absences is not more than 20% of the required number of class hours.

2. Make-up Works. Make-up works are only possible on major exams and laboratories. Acceptable reason for not taking exams
or attending laboratory (e.g. illness, family emergency), and is supported by valid proof. You will not be allowed to take
make-up exams without excuse slips or exam permits. Make-up will be given a week before final exam.

3. Plagiarism. Don't copy material (e.g. text, images, source codes, videos for presentations) from any website or printed
materials such as books, and submit them as if they were your own work. Always cite your sources. Not doing so is unethical,
and is a form of academic dishonesty. If you borrow someone else's idea, and rephrase them with your own words, it's still not
your idea, and you should still cite your sources.

4. Academic Dishonesty. All forms of dishonest work will have corresponding sanctions and such works will not be graded at all.

5. Deadlines. Late submission of work will receive a 10% deduction for each day after the deadline, not including weekends and
holidays.

6. Dress Code. Students must come to class following the university guidelines on dress code.

7. Examinations. Examination booklet will be used during quizzes and major examination.

8. Calculator. Only calculator models approved by the PRC during board examinations are allowed. (Models: 991 MS or
equivalent)

9. Gadgets. Cell phones and other gadgets must be turned off or put in silent mode while in class and during exams.

10. Course Requirements. All course requirements will be submitted on or before the final exam schedule, failure to do so will
have a score of zero.

11. On-Line Requirements. All requirements such as assigned topic and quizzes must be submitted at the required specified
time and will be done using the on-line learning management system (LMS). Failure to comply this requirements at specified
allotted will have a score of zero in that activities.

12. Assigned Topics/Activities. Each specific topic/assignments/activities will be given through on-line LMS prior to the assigned
quizzes. The quizzes will be available only within the schedule date at specified allotted time (depends on the length and
complexity of the exam). Students must give at least two (2) hours for electronics engineering subject and also two (2) hours
for Electronic System and Technology (EST) per week of their time doing this activities, failure to do will be given a score of
zero at that specific activities.

13. Make-up exam. Special/Make-up will only be given to students with valid reason.

14. Midterm Pre-Board Exam. Midterm pre-board exam will given on-line at specified time and schedule.

15. Final Pre-Board Exam. The final pre-board exam will be given as seat-down exam at the final exam schedule.

16. Removal Exam. No removal exam will be given after final exam or final pre-board exam.

17. Student clearance. Clearance will only be signed by the faculty in-charged of the subject if he/she passed the subject and the
final pre-board exam.

General Average (GA) shall be computed as:

MGA  FGA
GA 
2
where:
MGA = 50% Q + 50% MPBE – Midterm Grade Average
FGA = 50% Q + 50% FPBE - Final Grade Average

Q- Quizzes MPBE-Midterm Pre-Board Exam FPBE - Final Pre-Board Exam

Passing Mark = 70%
