Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine students career choice, to

identify the factors that influence students career choice and to suggest

plans or programs that could assist students in their career choices.

The data were obtained through the researchers- made

questionnaire and general weighted average the sum up of all

questionnaire that had been answered by the respondents. The

information gathered were tabulated and computed to find out the factors

that influence students career choice. Weighted mean, frequency and

percentage was used as statistical tool to analyze the data. After the

careful analysis and interpretation of data gathered, the researchers found

out that 60 respondents, majority of them has a general weighted mean

(GWM) of 3.50 - 4.00 strongly agree (SA).

In addition, the respondents assessed other career as the choice

with the highest number of choose which has 17 out of 60 g11 students

with the percentage of 28.13 %. The result implies that most of the g11

student choose a career that not belong to the top leading career. The

respondents also give their interest in choosing their career wants with the

weighted mean of 3.6 and verbally interpreted as SA or Strongly Agree.

This implies that students must prefer to follow their interest in choosing

career. The most significant role of suggesting plans or programs is to

assist students in choosing their career.

Based on the conclusion reach in the study, choosing a career that

belong in top leading career is highly recommended, students may follow

their skills and interest in choosing a career and lastly, further study about

the suggest plans or programs that contributed to the findings of this study

is highly recommended for future researchers and for a fuller

understanding of this study.
