 When stringing strand fibre across a road, traffic must be temporally stopped.
 Where appropriate, mobile traffic signals or Police Officers may be used to direct traffic around
the work zones.
 All persons working in areas where vehicles and plant are operating must wear a high vis- vest.
 Trucks and plant should be fitted with horns, reversing beepers, mirrors and flashing beacons.
 Visitors to the depots are accompanied by a staff member at all times.
 A second man must keep look-out when reversing vehicles.
 If visibility is restricted, then a second man must keep look-out.

 Communication must be maintained at all times between crews when setting up signs
 Sierra management for overall work procedures and work practices.
