DRUGS AND ALCOHOL POLICY & PROGRAM

The management will frown at the use of self enhancing performance drugs, Posses
sion and/or use of alcohol, illegal or unauthorized drug paraphernalia, firearms
or other weapons are prohibited while on company premises or in a company vehic
le. Employees shall not report to work under the influence of alcohol or stimul
ant/performance enhancing drugs. The use or possession of alcohol or drugs is p
rohibited on Company premises, including Company or chartered aircraft, boats, e
tc., or during working hours except when authorized by the Operations Manager fo
r special functions or Company bar. Vehicles or other equipment shall not be op
erated by anyone under the influence of alcohol or stimulant/performance enhanci
ng drugs. Violators are subject to disciplinary action i.e. termination from job
.
The following tests may be carried out on personnel:
1. Pre-employment drug test.
All personnel in safety sensitive position will be required to under-go a pre-wo
rk drug test. These include welders, equipment operators, riggers, electricians
etc.
2. Unusual behaviour/post accident drug and alcohol test.
Persons involved in a serious accident or persons who exhibit unusual behaviour
or who perform unsatisfactory work and are suspected to be under the influence o
f a substance will be compelled to undergo a drug and alcohol test
3. Random drug and alcohol test.
To ensure that workers are alive to the companyâ s drug and alcohol policy, random dr
ug and alcohol screening may be carried out.
Testing positive to any of the above will result in termination of employment
