Philosophy plays a very important role in my

life as a student. Philosophy is a study that seeks to

understand the mysteries of existence and reality. It
tries to discovers the nature of truth and knowledge
and to find out what is the basic value ands
importance in life. It also examines the relationship
between humanity and nature and between the
individual and society.
I as student are likely to benefit by studying
Philosophy because it is a tool of logic and reason to
analyze the way in which I experience the world. It
teaches critical thinking skills, close reading and
clear writing and logical analysis, it uses these to
understand the language to describe the world and
our place within it.
Philosophy helps to strengthen and improve my
skills and capabilities as a student, like being a
critical thinker is one of my strength that I can
apply in every decision that I am going to make in
my life. Another thing is it helps to develop my close
reading and clear writing skills that has a big
advantage in my studies and for academic purposes.
In addition, it helps to unfolds my logical analysis
which uses to understand our world, to understand
our values and to understand ourselves as well.
Philosophy will help me to succeed as a student
by strengthening my weaknesses as well as my skills
and capabilities…I will be able to reach my dreams
by the help of Philosophy.
 Philosophy can help me to become a productive
individual and citizen by the way of activating my
critical thinking skills. It is not just simply knowledge
but requires deep understanding and wisdom. When
we know well about Philosophy it will enable me to do
things that I and our country can benefit like being a
volunteer to be active in my community. Be honest
and trustworthy and simply follow rules and laws.
Another is Philosophy touches so many subjects
and especially many of its method can be used in any
field. The study of Philosophy helps me to enhance my
ability to solve and surpass problems, gives great
perspective about life and to influence and to
persuade other people to become a good citizen and a
productive individual.
To become a productive citizen and individual it
does not refer to become a rich and influential person.
We can be recognized to be a productive individual
and citizen as long as we are doing good things in our
life and in our community like sharing our knowledge
and skills that we have in any field. And when we can
do that it means we applied Philosophy in our life.
Philosophy that makes us understand the world or
desire to make sense of the world including the
relationship between people and the world where we
are living. With Philosophy we can make the best out
of us specially to become a productive individual.
 One of the situations in my life that I were able to
engage philosophy is when I decided to transfer in
Batan Academy (ANS). To study for Senior High
School. I have been studying in Camanci National High
School for almost four years, I have gathered a lot of
happy memories with my former classmates and
former teachers. They help me to enhance and unfold
my skills and capabilities. At first it is really hard on
my part to decide to transfer in another school. How
many times I ask myself if I will be able to manage and
surpass the feeling that I would go outside in my
comfort zone. But then I decided that I will transfer to
challenge myself and for the purpose for more
opportunities for scholarship when I enter college.
Philosophy helps me to handle that situation in the
way of making decision by addressing the holistic point
of view which refers to looking at all aspects of the
given situation. Before I decide I think critically how
many times if its beneficial when I transfer in another
school. Philosophy enables me to question why things
are the way they and make a critical choice about what
I feel. Philosophy also enables me to do the self-
reflection which refers to thinking what I am capable
to do and guessing the possible outcomes in my
decision in life. In addition, Philosophy is one of the
sources of human will or endeavor which means the
ability to makes decision mindfully in each moment of
time. The will to learn and face the fear that I have in
my life.
I believe that good decision making is one of the factors
to achieve our goals in life. And we were able to do
good decision when we know well about Philosophy
and its real function to human life.
 I can say that I have lived a meaningful life
considering all my experiences and achievements.
Even though some of my experiences is not good,
experiences that gives burden in my part as a student.
But I considered it as a relevant experience that
happens in my life. In my point of view everything
happens for a reason whether it is good or bad. As a
person our experiences makes us a better person and
makes us stronger to face all the problems that will
comes in our life.
For me my achievements are just only a good
memory that happens in my life, memories that
motivates me to strive harder to become a better
person someday. In my point of view experiences its
better than achievements because without an
experience I cannot achieve something. And I
consider that when I graduated in elementary as a
class salutatorian is one of the highlights in my life,
another is the time when my ideal girl becomes mine.
I consider it as a highlight of my life because it serves
me as my motivation and inspiration in reaching my
dreams.
Lastly the things that I am looking forward in the
future is to be able to graduate in college and to have
a stable job. So that, I can pay back all the sacrifices
of my parents. Another is to have a family together
with my ideal girl. And especially I want to serve in
my country, to share my enriching knowledge and
experiences and also the story of my life become as
the inspiration of the youth.
