Web-based seminar, a webinar is a presentation, lecture, workshop or seminar that is

transmitted over the Web using video conferencing software. A key feature of a Webinar is its
interactive elements is the ability to give, receive and discuss information in real-time.

Using Webinar software participants can share audio, documents and applications with webinar
attendees. This is useful when the webinar host is conducting a lecture or information session.
While the presenter is speaking they can share desktop applications and documents. Today,
many webinar services offer live streaming options or the ability to record your webinar and
publish to YouTube and other service later.

Involvement on campus has many benefits to both the student and the institution. Involvement
has been linked to increased persistence, development of transferable skills that can be useful
in their careers, developing higher order thinking skills and overall satisfaction with the college
experience.

Encouraging students to become involved in co-curricular experiences deserves to be among

the most important institutional priorities.

This webinar will discuss some innovative, yet well-tested strategies for improving the
percentage of students on campus who are participating in co-curricular experiences. Guidance
for leading an institution-wide effort to improve involvement will also be discussed.

Learning Outcomes:

apply what they learn to their campuses.

 Students will learn about how creating sponsored organizations can increase the
capacity for involvement.
