NARRATIVE ON WHAT THE STUDENT LEARNED

At first, you might wonder how 10 days, 80 hours, and one work immersion
will change you in any possible ways or means. Imagine a simple Senior High
School Student, who already planned his/her future profession or career but later
on changed because of work immersion. How possible it is?
Just like what the Work Immersion aimed for us. To discover ourselves in
the process as well as to discover our hidden dreams and talents by exposing us
to the real life in work place setting. In my case now, I can really conclude that this
experience helped me a lot. From the time it let me experience completing
requirements just like a normal person applying for a job until the moment I
deployed and started to work.
Being assigned in Baranggay Hall in Patunhay Calahan, Cardona, Rizal
helps me improved my communication skills. Since, in my work place, I’m usually
the one being left in Baranggay while the other staff may either giving letters to the
involved persons or busy working something. I tend to be the one who welcoming
visitors whenever there is one. I’m trying my best to entertain them while they are
waiting for the person they are looking for. Indeed, this is the best improvement I
got during work immersion. And I hope, I will be able to use this in the near future.
Hopefully, all the learnings and experiences I got will help me become a
professional employer someday.

REFLECTION PAPER
As a Senior High School student, hearing the word work immersion brings
a lot of questions and wonderings to us. It makes us wonder about the struggles
we may encounter while working, the life inside the work place setting, and even
how we will interact with new people in new environment. Everything is so foreign.
In my case, I am lucky enough to be deployed in Baranggay Hall in
Patunhay Calahan, Cardona, Rizal. Honestly, I don’t have any idea about their
work. Aside from the responsibility of the Baranggay Captain as well as the
Kagawad, other than that, I don’t know anything. Even the things and work that I’m
going to do there remains questionable. Honestly, I feel nervous. I don’t want to
cause trouble while working. I don’t want to make them disappointed to me or even
wish to have someone new to replace me.
But then, thankfully, I enable to apply my knowledge in school to my kind of
work there. Doing paper works through the use of computer, interacting with other
people, engaging in community activities, and so on. After all, I’m still fortunate.
From the fact that I enable to experience all of these. All the hard works are all
worth it because learnings is more than enough for me to become fortunate.
