SCIENCE QUESTERS UNLIMITED

HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

The world of science has not yet uncovered all the secret lies within our universe,
how much more the entirety of the vastness of space. It is an unquestionable fact that
our universe are so vast that we human beings is just a small piece of a large
investment. The portion of the unexplored celestial entity is quite humongous compared
to what we have already discovered. Today it is known that the earth is only a small ball
of rock in space of unimaginable vastness and that the birth of the solar system was
probably only one vent among many that occurred against the backdrop of an already
mature universe. All this things starts from a simple curiosity.

Curiosity is one of the greatest strengths we possess. Curiosity drives to push

new bounds, keep us excited about our work and inquisitive about the world around us.
Today, more and more people are curious of how the world, the universe, and the
vastness of space begun and work. Thus, more quests have been established to find
necessary answers for every questions unanswered. With this, therefore, the students
of Leyte Normal University (LNU) taking science-related programs from an alliance
creating a single body that manages and continue finding answers through a systematic
process-science. Thus, SCIENCE QUESTERS UNLIMITED was established.

The pioneers who came up with this idea is the group of Mr. Jose Ismael
Salamia, during their time in LNU in the school year 2007-2008. The President of that
time is Miss NimfaRanayo. They established the main foundation of the organization,
such as, the governing laws and policies or the constitution and bylaws, etc. In the
school year 2008-2009, new officers were elected with the President Mr. Mark Gallano,
this is to ensure the continuous flow of finding answers to the vastness of questions.
The next President elected was Mr. April JhonGaditano. He is the only President who
was elected for two terms from school years 2009-2010 and 2010-2011. Then,
Ms.RizalynPepito was chosen as successor of Mr.Gaditano from the school year 2011-
2012. She continued what the previous officers have done. The next one who answered
the call was Mr. Reynolds BoholtsBermuel Jr., from school year 2013-2014. Afterwards,
new officers were elected, this was headed by Mr. Erikson Noseñas in the school year
20014-2015. The task was turn over to Mr. Ronald J. Magaipo from school year 2015-
2016. Likewise the school year 2016-2017, the flame of the organization was given to
Mr. Isaac O. Obseñares to continue finding the answers. And, with the same objective,
this was transferred to Mr. King Philip C. Gonzal, from school year 2017-2018. Now
the responsibility is vested to the current President Ms.Chenalin C. De Los Santos from
school year 2018-2019.
Since the inauguration of the organization, it has taken a big step in achieving its
goals. From acquiring various science concepts to research and winning different
competitions locally and globally. All these are quests in finding answers to a curious
questions.

SCIENCE MONTH CELEBRATION

NARRATIVE REPORT

Every September of every year, is the annual month-long Science Month

Celebration. Being a Science oriented organization, the Science Questers Unlimited of
Leyte Normal University took part on this worldwide celebration. With the theme
“Science for the People: Innovation for Collective Prosperity” the organization, with the
help and support of the Science Faculty, prepared activities in which the students of the
university can participate. The goal of this celebration is to enhance the scientific skills
and attitudes not only those of the Science Major students but also to those students of
the other programs. For that reason the Science Questers Unlimited agreed to hold five
activities: two Science Quiz Bee (one for non-Science majors and the other for the
members of the organization), Poster Making Contest, Scrap Art Contest, Film Showing,
and the Weekly Science Trivia. All of these activities are open to all students of the
university.

The officers of the organization agreed to assign specific officers to act as the
Head of a specific activity. Since there are only five activities, the remaining officers
were assigned to help the Heads of every activity. The materials to be used, venue, and
time were all decided in a meeting attended by the members.

The Science Month Celebration in Leyte Normal University is not only

participated by the Science Questers Unlimited but also by the Developmental
Integrated Group of Information Technology Students (DIGITS) and Math Students’
Society (MSS). Our organization conducted a meeting with their representatives from
the each organization. It was agreed, in the meeting, that each organization should do
all of their activities in a specific week of the month unless there’s a need to reschedule
some activities. This is to avoid any conflict of schedule and overlapping of activities.
Furthermore, it was also agreed that the organization assigned to that specific week is
responsible for the flag ceremony held every Monday. Our organization is assigned for
the first week making us the one who opened the Science Month Celebration. Every
officersof the SQU, with the guidance of our adviser, participated for the successful
conduct of the opening. We led the usual flow of events, announced the activities and
contests that we will be having, and formally announced the opening of the celebration.

All of our activities and contests were tentatively scheduled on a Wednesday, 5 th

of October 2018. However, due to some complications on the schedule the organization
decided to reschedule the Scrap Art Contest on the 12th of September and the Science
Quiz Bee for Science majors on the 7th of September. As a result, only three of our
activities is held on the 5th of October. Invitation letters were prepared and distributed to
all organizations of the university. Fortunately, a few of them responded and sent some
of their members to participate.

The first contest or activity held was the Science Quiz Bee for non-Science
majors on the 5th of September. The contest was held at the 2nd floor of the CTE
Building. Attendance and registration started around 8:30 in the morning. It was
attended by six organizations each having three members. The organizations who
participated were the following: MAPEH Circle, JSWAP, TLE Guild, HRC, APSS, and
English Circle. For three rounds these six organizations competed with each other
making use of their scientific knowledge to answer the questions given. After the
Difficult round, HRC and APSS tied hence a Clincher round was done. In the end, HRC
emerged victorious making the APSS land in the second place. Third place was won by
the JSWAP representatives. The contest ended at exactly 10:43 in the morning.

Also on the same day, the Poster Making Contest was held at the Science
Building, SR 35. The contest started around 9:00 in the morning and was participated
by six organizations; each has one representative. The contest lasted for hours and was
finished around 11:30. The outputs were then immediately judged by the chosen
teachers from the Science Unit. The winners will be announced and recognized during
the awarding ceremony that is to be decided by our organization along with the DIGITS
and MSS.

On the afternoon, the Film Showing was also held on SR 35 of the Science
Building. Tickets were sold, for 0.99 Pesos, before the start of the film. Only those who
were able to buy the tickets can participate and watch in the Film showing. The activity
started around 1:30 pm. Two science fiction movies were played namely, The Shape of
Water and The Core. The activity ended at the end of the second movie.

The Science Quiz Bee for the Science majors was held at the AV Studio on the
7thof September 2018. The contest was participated by six classes: BSEd Science 1-2,
BSEd Science 1-4, BSEd Science 1-6, BS Biology AB 1-1, BS Biology AM 1-1, and BS
Biology 4. Same with the other quiz bee, the contest has three rounds but with broader
and harder questions. The contest started around 4:00 pm. After the difficult round, the
BS Biology 4 emerged victorious followed by BS Biology AB 1-1 and BSEd Science 1-2
placing 2nd and 3rd respectively. The contest ended around 5:30 in the afternoon.

On the 12th of September, the Scrap Art Contest was held at SR 23 of the
Science Building. The contest was participated by four organizations, each having a pair
as representatives. The contest started at exactly 9:00 am. After a few hours of work the
participants finished their works around 12:30 pm. Their outputs are still to be judged by
selected faculty members of the Science Unit. The winners will also be recognized and
awarded during the awarding ceremony that is yet to be decided by the responsible
organizations assigned for the Science Month Celebration.

The Weekly Science Trivia was held every week, starting from Monday and
ending every Friday. Tickets are sold in the SQU Office for only 0.99 pesos. Each draw
was held every Friday. Winners are to be announced on the awarding ceremony that is
yet to be decided.

The winners will receive a prize prepared by the organization during the yet to be
decided awarding ceremony. Both participants and winners will receive certificates as
well. Tokens and certificates of appreciation will also be given to the judges. The
Science Questers Unlimited will soon reach out to the DIGITS and MSS to plan and talk
about the awarding ceremony.

The Science Month Celebration activities of our organization was faced by many
hindrances. But despite all of those, we were still able to finish all of our activities with
the cooperation and help of our officers, members and the Science faculty. In the end
we were able to accomplish our goal which is to enhance the scientific skills and
attitudes not only those of the Science Major students but also to those students of the
other programs. It will also not be possible without the participation of the other
organizations. Like the organs in a biological system of a human body, the
aforementioned people or groups did their part for the entire system to function, or in
this case, for the success of the Science Month Celebration.

SQU ACQUAINTANCE PARTY

(OCTOBER 4, 2018)
NARRATIVE REPORT

With the theme “Retro: A Blast from the Past”, the Science Questers Unlimited (SQU)
gathered at the 1st Floor of the SR Building during the Acquaintance Party 2018 celebration
held last October 4, 2018.

The event started around 11:30 in the morning with a total of 192 members and the
science faculty members. Everyone wore an attire that corresponded to the theme. Retro-
vintage outfits from different decades were seen but clothing from the 1980’s was dominant
since it was the specified year for SQU. Some of the faculty members also dressed up
according to the theme. This year’s emcees were two SQU officers, Vanessa Encoy and Dean
Cinco.

The program started off with a prayer led by the SQU President, Ms. Chenalin de los
Santos and was followed by an opening statement by the SQU Vice- President, Mr. Ruegin
Masong. Afterwards, luncheon followed. The students were made to choose they want
beforehand through a survey conducted by the organization. The foods served were fish fillet,
pork steak and fried chicken for the main course, mango banggo and fruit salad for desserts
and, iced tea and water for drinks. As Asia’s staple food, rice is already given.

Luncheon was followed by entertainment. Each section was required to have an

intermission number to be presented during the party. From BSEd to BS BIO, there was a
never-ending showcasing of talent. A string of song numbers like Say You Won’t Let Go by
James Arthur presented by some freshmen students and dance-offs from the seniors occurred
that day proving that science majors are quite the talented bunch as well.

Following the intermission numbers were the fun stuff—the games. Both students and
teachers alike participated in the games prepared by the officers. This was a great chance to
get well-acquainted with the students from different sections from freshmen to seniors. Some
games played were musical chairs with a twist for the students and Hep-Hep-Hurray! for the
teachers which they clearly enjoyed. This part of the event was a good way to forget about
paper works for a short while and be stress-free.

Another highlight of the party was the search for Best Dressed for both male and female
category. The officers handpicked the candidates according to the accuracy of their outfit and
how well they wear it. The judges were the audience and members based on how loud they clap
for their chosen bets. From 10 pairs, there will only be two winners and they were both
freshmen. Best Dressed Female Category was Ms. Kristian Colminar from BSEd-SC16 and
Best Dressed Male Category was from BSBIO AB11, Mr. Aldrin Francisco. The awardees truly
deserved it.

Marking the adjournment of the party was the closing words from the SQU President,
Ms. Chenalin C. de los Santos, followed by photo opportunity spree for the officers along with
the organization adviser, Mr. Jefferson E. Flores. The party ended at 4pm which was also the
start of restoration of the venue and preparation for the university-wide celebration which was
held at the HRDC Gymnasium on the same day.

Despite the challenges faced by the officers in the preparation, the event was still
considered a success. The main objective of the acquaintance party was to make new friends
and strengthen old bonds, create unity and practise respect among the different sections and
work as one—as a family. The look on their faces and feedback received was more than
enough proof that the SQU Acquaintance Party 2018, with the theme, “Retro: A Blast from the
Past”, was definitely a success.

TEACHERS’ DAY CELEBRATION

(OCTOBER 11, 2018)
NARRATIVE REPORT

Teaching has always been a demanding profession, but in an increasingly complex,

highly technical and fast changing world, classrooms are ever more challenging, with many of
the young people struggling with difficult social and personal issues. That so many students in
these circumstances nonetheless go in to acquire the essential skills they need to participate
fully in our society is a tribute to the persistence, dedication and professionalism of their
teachers.

World Teachers’ Day is a wonderful opportunity for the whole community to

acknowledge the critical role that teachers play and recognise and thank them for the invaluable
contribution they make to shaping and helping to secure the future of our society.

This year, the SQU officers prepared a tiny surprise for the science faculty. The night
before, they decorated the board with a simple “Happy Teachers’ Day” greetings and prepared
a song number. They also bought tokens to be given to the teachers during the program at the
HRDC Gymnasium.

On the morning of October 11, 2018, selected students were already prepared to escort
the teachers to the gym for the mass and program. As they greet the teachers, they were given
a bracelet signifying the students’ gratitude. After escorting the teachers, the students went to
the SQU office to finish the tokens in the form of mason jars. The mason jars filled with inspiring
quotes and short messages from the students. The jar was decorated with strings, fancy straws
and a tag with their names written on it.

After filling up everything, the jars were brought to the gym. Each student is again
assigned to a specific teacher. Once the science faculty was called, the students went up and
gave the token along with the Supreme Student Council who also prepared something for the
teachers. Photos were taken afterwards and happiness was evident in the faces of the teachers.

Back in the SR Building, once the teachers were inside the Science Unit, the board was
brought to the second floor and the guitars were already prepared for the song number. Both
students and officers went inside the science unit and sung their heart out to show appreciation
to the teachers. The teachers were surprised and sang along as well. Another photo opportunity
occurred outside the unit, with the decorated board and bright smiles on everyone’s faces.
To students, teachers are one of the greatest people that come across their life. They
are not selfless givers but also the mentors of their life. At every step, they come across
teachers who devote their entire lifetime in the enlightenment of students.

For sure, teachers’ definition can’t be limited to a subject teacher because anyone who
guides you is a teacher. Many times you feel like thanking your teacher but you do not find the
proper occasion. So in the past celebration of teachers’ day, the Science Questers Unlimited
commemorated their teachers’ efforts and thanked them for being the guiding light in their life.

ORGANIZATIONAL BOOTH
NARRATIVE REPORT

Intramurals is one of the most anticipated events and highlights every school
year. It is a celebration conducted every year which primarily promotes sportsmanship
and camaraderie amongst athletes of different sports events. It is also an avenue for
students to show not just their strength as athletes but their skills and talents as well.

Every Intramurals the Supreme Student Council always prepare gimmicks to

make the celebration more fun and exciting for everyone. This year, one of the activities
proposed by the SSC was “Booth Fiesta”. This activity required all accredited academic
organizations to prepare an interactive booth. Our organization, the Science Questers
Unlimited, have chosen the photo booth with the theme: Philippine Fiesta. We named
the booth “Photo Booth a la Fiesta”. Prior to the intramurals week, the officers already
planned the theme and the “look” of the both. The materials were carefully selected and
the decorations were properly installed. After hours and hours of labor, we managed to
finish the booth right before the opening with the help of both members and officers.
With the help of some artistic members, our organization have managed to have an
interesting and eye-pleasing booth.

During the opening of our booth, we have assigned one section to facilitate every
four hours. Each class took turns in facilitating the booth for the whole week of
celebration. Since this was a fund raising activity, we have decided the price of 15.00
pesos per developed photo. Other Science major students were asked to encourage
everyone to try our photo booth. As a result, more and more students came to try our
photo booth. The photos were also posted in our Facebook page. The booth turned to
be successful since there were a lot of students who participated. At the end of the
week, the officers and members took part in the restoration and helped ensure the
cleanliness of the site where our booth was located.

Overall, this year’s Intramurals were a lot of fun because of the Booth Fiesta that
was prepared by the Supreme Student Council. The campus was livelier and more
interactive due to the active participation of the students. Most of all, we learned that
joint effort and participation are key elements to get things done faster and more
efficient. None of this is possible without the efforts of the Science Questers Unlimited
officers and members.

Intramurals 2018
NARRATIVE REPORT

Leyte Normal University celebrated its annual Intramurals last November 19,
2018 which promotes camaraderie and rapport among students, instructors, and
administration. This year’s Intramurals highlighted the Aliwan: Festival of Festivals with
the theme “Strengthening Commitment towards Excellence through Sports, Culture, and
Arts”. Four competing teams were assigned into different festivals. The College of Arts
and Sciences represented the Panagbenga Festival – the Flower Festival celebrated in
Baguio. The College of Management of Entrepreneurship represented the -----. The
College of Education – Bachelor in Elementary Education represented the ----- and
lastly, the College of Education – Bachelor in Secondary Education represented the
Angel Festival.

Science Questers Unlimited is an academic organization that can be classified

into two college departments – College of Arts and Sciences and College of Education.
The SQU was divided according to the members’ college departments. The BSED
Major in Science students were in COE-BSED while the BSBiology students were in
CAS. Despite the separation in team, the members were still in helping hands in doing
the assigned tasks for the organization.

During the Intramurals, the SQU organized a fund raising booth for the
organization. With the help of the officers and the other members, the organization
made a photo booth. The pressure in making the props, designing the booth, and
organizing the whole booth was present. Setting up the booth was tiring but still, the
smiles can be seen on the faces of the members. The photo booth was managed by the
members, following a schedule for their duty. The booth lasted up to 2 days only
because of some unexpected circumstances like the suspension of classes due to the
tropical depression but despite this, seeing the pictures taken in the booth was beyond
the expectations of the organizers. The smiles of the students, the shared moments can
be seen in the pictures. The booth really built a rapport among the students.

Another activity for the Intramurals that was assigned to the organization was to
organize the TagisanngTalino 2018. The activity was held at the Student Center last
November 23, 2018. The officers of SQU were assigned in significant roles during the
activity. Also, some members of the organization helped in tallying scores. The
TagisanngTalino was just like any other quiz bees. It started with an easy round,
followed by the average round, elimination round, and the difficult round. The College of
Arts and Sciences won the TagisanngTalino garnering the score of 178 points while
College of Education – Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education won the second
place with the score of 160 points.
After the awarding of the winners of the Intramurals, a clean-up drive was
initiated by the Supreme Student Council to help restore the cleanliness of the
university. The students were in helping hands in cleaning the whole university. The
members of the SQU also cooperated in cleaning and getting back the materials used in
the booth.

The Intramurals was a week of fun for the students to have a break from
schoolwork and other stressful matters. Through this event, students learn values as
well such as: teamwork, unity, loyalty, cooperation, school spirit, humility, determination,
and many more.

CHRISTMAS PARTY
NARRATIVE REPORT

One of the important highlights of December is Christmas. The time when

everyone gets to have a short vacation and getaway for a while. It is also the period of
the year when students of every level celebrate a Christmas party. Spearheaded by the
Supreme Student Council, the university conducted a simultaneous Christmas party and
our organization, Science Questers Unlimited, took part of it last December 7, 2018.

Prior to the Christmas party celebration was the university wide final
examinations. For that reason, instead of conducting the usual party, the organization
decided to conduct a very short Christmas gathering. A day before the event, the
members were informed and the officers planned for the short event. The officers
decided to have an hour of Christmas gathering for our members. There will only be
games and prizes and nothing else. Immediately after the planning, we rushed to take
care of the venue. Prizes of the games were also decided and bought right after the
planning.

On the day of the gathering, the officers met at the venue to finish setting up the
place. The Christmas gathering started around 11:00 AM right after the members
signed the attendance sheets. After a short prayer, the P.I.O. delivered the message of
our organization President, since she wasn’t able to come because of some urgent
matter. The officers conducted the games right after, making sure that everyone who
came will have the chance to participate. The games “Arrange Yourselves”,
“PinoyHenyo: Science Edition” and “Bring Me” brought laughter to the room and smiles
on our members’ faces. After the games, the winners were awarded with gifts. Since all
of them participated as a class, the winners get to share the prizes with the rest of the
class. Almost everyone received something that day. A short closing message was
delivered by yours truly, the Secretary, to thank those who came despite the lack of
preparation. The Christmas was finished around 12:30 PM. The officers cleaned and
restored he venue before leaving.

This year’s Christmas party made us realize a lot of things. Most importantly we
realized that Christmas is not all about decorations, food, nor other material things. It is
indeed about the feeling. The laughter and smiles from our members indicated that we
made them happy and we believe happiness is what matters during Christmas.

On November 22, 2018, from 4:00 – 6:30 A.M., the participants and the coaches
left for Ormoc via public transportation, in the form of a van. The contingent was able to
arrive at St. Peter’s College of Ormoc in time, at about 10:30 – 11:30 A. M. The group
then had quick meal at a fast food restaurant before promptly returning to the venue.

The opening program started at about 12:00 – 12:30 P. M. Welcoming remarks

were given by the POSTE’s President at the time, followed by some messages and
greetings from the host school and its officials, and that of the POSTE’’s officials as
well. Song and dance numbers were presented by the students of St. Peter’s College of
Ormoc, including a presentation of POSTE’s first actual theme song for the event. The
opening program ended around 1:30 P. M.

From 1:30 P. M. onwards, the guest speakers each gave their individual
presentations, which lasted until 4:30 P.M. Simultaneously, the Poster Making Contest
was going on, with Fernan Miranda representing the LNU College contingent as a
participant. Majority of the contingent attended the presentations, which were all held in
the gymnasium of the host school. The participants for the Science Quiz Bee—Kirk
Vincent Arpon, Chenalin De los Santos and Ruegin D. Masong, were instructed to stay
at the assigned room of the contingent and study for their competition, which was held
on the evening of that day.

The participants and coaches had dinner at about 6:00 P. M. onwards at the
gymnasium, with the food served by the school’s very own catering service. Right after
dinner, the Science Quiz Bee was held.

The Science Quiz Bee had three categories: Elementary, Junior High School,
Senior High School, and College level. The other LNU contingents aside from the
college level, namely the Elementary and Junior High School teams, were able to
achieve 1st place and 2nd place respectively within their categories.

LNU’s College contingent won first place in the College level, defeating VSU with
a score of 6/10 compared to the latter’s 4/10, earning the contingent its first win for the
event.

Once the program for the day was done, the coaches and participants did a
rehearsal onstage before returning to our assigned quarters and calling it a day.

On November 23, 2018, the second day of activities begun. The contingent took
their breakfast at the gymnasium as usual, with the host school serving food. Right after
breakfast, two events were held—the Science Olympics competition, and Research
Presentation in poster form. The participants from our contingent went to their assigned
locations where the two events were separately held: the venue for the Science
Olympics was right in front of the host school’s gymnasium, while the Poster Research
Presentation venue was along a corridor beside the gymnasium, where the poster
researches conducted by the participants were on display. Only Aleluya, Bigael,
Marmol, Renomeron and Villanueva were able to join the Science Olympic from the
contingent, since the maximum number of contestants per contingent was 5. Ms.
Armada volunteered to count herself out from the competition.

For the Poster Research Presentation, Hazel D. Calamba served as the

presenter for their research group’s poster.
While the events went on, two guest speakers provided presentations for the
morning. Soon after both the events and the presentations ended, the contingent
gathered around two tables at the gymnasium and had lunch at 12:00 noon. After lunch,
the contestants for the Oral Research Presentation went to their assigned venue for the
event, where most of the contingent came with them in order to observe the
presentation. The group of Avila, Calamba, Castilla and Cinco were the presenters, with
Ms.Castilla being the main one. After the successful presentation, the participants and
coaches went back to their assigned quarters and rehearsed for their jingle presentation
for the afternoon.

The participants dressed up in their costumes an hour before the program of the
evening, which consisted of dinner, the pageant for the POSTE, and the Science Jingle,
all of which will be held at the gymnasium.

After taking dinner, the program of the night started. The pageant consisted of
participants from both Junior and Senior High Schools, with the LNU’s Junior High
School contingent having participants for the events. The Science Jingle competition
was integrated into the pageant itself, where the presentations from different schools
served as ‘intermissions’ for the event. The Leyte Normal University’s College
contingent performed last.

Before the end of the program, the winners for the pageant were announced. At
the very end, the pair of contestants from LNU’s Junior High School contingent won the
event.

The winners for the other events, namely the Science Quiz Bee, Poster Making
Contest, Science Olympics, the Oral and Poster Research Presentations, and Science
Jingle, were to be announced the day after, on November 26, 2018.

November 24, 2018 was the final day of the 19th Annual Regional POSTE
convention. Before heading to the host school’s gymnasium for their breakfast, the
contingent cleaned up their assigned quarters and started packing their things, in
preparation for going home. Once the contingent was done restoring the room’s original
state, they then headed down to the gym to have breakfast.

The morning program was relatively short. A couple of speakers gave

presentations concerning Science and Technology and its relation to education. Several
students from the LNU contingent asked questions once a forum has been opened.
After the presentations came the awarding ceremonies. The LNU College contingent all
won first place in all the events, making it a landslide win.

Once the program was over, the participants and coaches went straight to their
quarters and packed up before leaving for Tacloban.

ACTIVITY PROPOSAL

VIII. Activity Title

This activity will be called: “PHOTOBOOTH ala Fiesta”

IX. Description

PHOTOBOOTH ala Fiesta is a mini-photo booth kiosk with a touch of

Philippine festival because of the additional background and props of festivals
that it has. This booth will provide entertainment to students, teachers and
visitors, as they take a memory of the Intramurals 2018 on their own hands. The
on-site photo printing will provide a branded souvenir of the event. Although there
is more to a photo booth than entertainment value, the fun is definitely still a
factor. The PHOTOBOOTH ala fiesta will make even the guests busy and
engaged -and hopefully, the novelty of the experience will have them talking long
after they’ve left the festival-themed Sports event of the Leyte Normal University.

X. Objectives

The Booth: “PHOTOBOOTH” has the following specific objectives;

a. To provide branded souvenir of the event to teachers, students and
visitors
b. To provide entertainment for teachers, students and visitors
c. To raise fund for the academic organization involved

XI. Proposed Schedule of Activity

This activity will start on 19 of November 2018.

TIME-FRAME ACTIVITY
November 19-22, 2018 Booth

XII. Expected Participants

The said activity is made for the students of Leyte Normal University. The
persons involved are the LNU Administration and Staff, the working volunteers
and the sponsors. Additionally, visitors from other schools can also be involved in
this booth.

XIII. Persons Responsible

For this activity to be successful, SQU officers have been assigned to
different committees, each having a chairman that will look over the tasks and
the members that will help in carrying out those tasks. Furthermore, there would
be a shifting of duties on the booth among SQU members according to the
sections they belong.

President, Supreme Student Council
This University

Subject: Request for the Excuse of the 4th Year Science Interns in School Events

Dear President,

Greetings!

As an academic organization, the officers and members of the Science Questers

Unlimited should attend the activities and events to be held, both by the organization
and the university. The LNU-Science Questers Unlimited would like to request from your
guide office to let the 4th Year Science Interns be excused from the activities the
organization will hold as well as the university’s events for the first semester. This is
because the 4th Year Science Majors are having their internship for the whole semester
as part of their course as education students.

Attached herewith is the list of the 4th Year Science Interns who request to be excused
from the activities to be conducted.

We are looking forward to a favorable response from you on this matter. Thank you and
God Bless.

Sincerely yours,

JOHN GERALD L. GAGATIGA
