B. ENGAGE Riddle: “Lagi mong kasama sa liwanag pero iniiwan ka sa dilim.”

C. EXPLORE Students will answer the questions in Activity 3: Are there shadows in space?
D. EXPLAIN Students will present/ explain their answers.

2. What is formed on the surface of the Earth?

4. What happens to the shadow of the moon as you move the moon around the
Earth?
E. ELABORATE Eclipses happen when the sun, earth and moon perfectly align with each other.
Penumbra is the object’s shadow in outer region resulting in a partial eclipse.
Umbra is the object’s shadow in the inner region resulting in total eclipse.
F. EVALUATE The student will complete the table below.
