The Purpose of School Management System is to automate the existing
manual system by the help of computerized equipment and full-fledge
computer software fulfilling Their requirement, so the valuable
data/information for a longer time period with easy accessing and
manipulation of the same. Basically the project describe how to manage for
Good performance and better services for the client.

Objective of the project:

The main objective of the School Management System is to manage the
details of Schools, Students, Classes, Teachers, Registrations. It manages all
the information about Schools, Cources, Registrations, Schools. The project
is totally built at administrative end and thus only the administrator is
guaranteed the access. The purpose of the project is to build an application
program to reduce the manual work for managing the Schools, Students,
Cources, Classes. It tracks all the details about the Classes, Teachers,
Registrations.

Project category:
This project is Web based application developed using PHP on the server
side and with MY SQL for database. Hyper Text Markup Language
(HTML), Cascading Style Sheet (CSS) and JavaScript are used for client
side scripting.

Modules:
The software has different modules which help it to achieve its objectives,
those are:
i. Admin Module
In this module admin controls the whole project. Administrator has an
authority to manage the students details as well as the teacher.

ii. User Module

In this module the ordinary user can view the information and perform basic
operation on the application on the project. They won’t be having the same
privileges as that of administrator but can certainly perform many operation
on the application.

Technology used:
PHP: PHP is a server-side scripting language designed primarily
for web development but also used as a general-purpose programming
language. Originally created by Rasmus Lerdorf in 1994, the PHP reference
implementation is now produced by The PHP Development Team. PHP
originally stood for Personal Home Page, but it now stands for the recursive
acronym PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor. PHP is a widely-used open source
general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web
development and can be embedded into HTML.

MY SQL: MySQL is the most popular Open Source Relational SQL

Database Management System. MySQL is one of the best RDBMS being
used for developing various web-based software applications. MySQL is
developed, marketed and supported by MySQL AB, which is a Swedish
company. This tutorial will give you a quick start to MySQL and make you
comfortable with MySQL programming.

PHPMYADMIN: PHPMYADMIN is a free software tool written

in PHP, intended to handle the administration of MySQL over the Web.
PHPMYADMIN supports a wide range of operations on MySQL.
Frequently used operations such as managing databases, tables, columns,
relations, indexes, users, permissions, etc. can be performed via the user
interface, while you still have the ability to directly execute any SQL
statement.

HTML: HTML stands for Hyper Text Markup Language, which is

the most widely used language on Web to develop web pages. HTML was
created by Berners-Lee in late 1991 but "HTML 2.0" was the first standard
HTML specification which was published in 1995. HTML 4.01 was a
major version of HTML and it was published in late 1999. Though HTML
4.01 version is widely used but currently we are having HTML-5 version
which is an extension to HTML 4.01, and this version was published in
2012.

CSS: CSS is used to control the style of a web document in a simple

and easy way. CSS is the acronym for "Cascading Style Sheet". CSS are
a style sheet language used to describe the presentation of a document
written in HTML or XML. CSS describes how elements should be rendered
on screen, on paper or on other media.

JavaScript: JavaScript which is often abbreviated as JS, is a high-

level, dynamic, weakly typed, object-based, multi-paradigm,
and interpreted programming language. Alongside HTML and CSS,
JavaScript is one of the three core technologies of World Wide Web content
production. It is used to make webpages interactive and provide online
programs, including video games. The majority of websites employ it, and
all modern web browsers support it without the need for plug-ins by means
of a built-in JavaScript engine.
